According to Wikipedia and a TV show I saw last month Floaters are: "....deposits of various size, shape, consistency, refractive index, and motility within the eye's vitreous humour, which is normally transparent. They may be of embryonic origin or acquired due to degenerative changes of the vitreous humour or retina"
Or basically random objects passing around in your eye ball (retina) that are usually harmless, the best way I can put it, they kinda look like something from under a microscope, bacteria-ish looking kinda like noodles but some have spots in them. I was utterly convinced that I was alone in seeing them (usually just float around in my peripheral vision sometimes lingering for a few moments) Howver this "Ask a doctor" type show I flipped to last month stated that nearly 70% of people have seen Floaters and that unless there followed by a sharp sensation of pain (in which case Youe eye is slowly dieing)they're totally harmless.
I've been seeing them for atleast noticing them since about my Freshmen year in High-School
(3yrs)Ive been wondering how many others have seen them?
EDIT: I posted to early can I add a poll
