Well, combined with the electromagnetic "Force fields" that are being developed, the idea could be feasible. However, you could likely find much smaller, faster ships that could deliver the same amount of ordinance. Also, maybe when humanity creates a space bound spacecraft factory, then a "Flying Aircraft Carrier" would be practical in being able to carry more equipment. (Not a weight issue, as there isn't gravity, but a spatial issue).

Space bound "Carriers" (Clever name for essentially a freighter eh?) AWAY!

Also, flying aircraft carriers would only serve one purpose...
