Once my Gamecube memory card data got corrupted, had to format the data. And this wasn't one of those times where you could leave it for about a day and everything would be better. I actually had to format the memory card. So... much... data... lost...

GalCiv2.

Playing on a 'huge' map, forgot to save after playing for 5 hours straight...and the auto-save was corrupted.

:(

I chickened out, got a minor ending.

I was having some blindingly good rounds in BC2. Then, as if I switch is flipped, I turn to crap and can't do anything. All that K/D gain I'd been working on, reduced to nothing! (KD doesn't matter in games, but when you're 2000 kills behind deaths, but your still a good player, you need to work on something).

So many PSX memory cards busted....

Oh, and there was this one goddamn boss in Odin Sphere for PS2, the Blue Dragon I think, it beat the living balls out of me for an entire hour. I was losing hair and stuff over the son of a gun. Then I left the level, went somewhere else to level up for about 10 minutes, went back and kicked his ass without him even touching me.

I know I ended up winning but FML for losing a whole hour (and probably years of my life because of all the cursing).

PS2 memory card just suddenly became corrupt so I had to format it. This includes a fully completed FFX game, Jak 3 with 598/600 Precursor orbs found and many other games with 100% or above 95% completion. So many hours of my life lost. FML.

There was that time I put Rise of the Argonauts in my disc tray. Oh, how I wish I could spray bleach inside my Xbox without it breaking :-(

I used to have this game on my PS2, Drakensomething (not Drakengard). The memory for one save was 2mb, and my memory card had 8mb. This was fine, but then my little borther decides he wants to play, so he deletes most of my game saves to make room for a save in this game. I think he deleted 5mb worth of stuff, when he only needed two.

EDIT: It was called Drakan: The Ancients' Gates. It was pretty cool. It was an RPG, so you had swords and bows nd magic, but you also had a dragon. Character Modeling was terrible though. I kinda want to play it again now.

in my early years of video gaming, i was playing a game called "Brave Fencer: Musashi"

i absolutely loved that game and was playing it for nearly half a year, probably more.

about the end of that time, my little dickweed of a brother re-wrote my save files and also broke the CD , and i was damn near finishing the game.

yeah, i was pissed.

Easily playing Demon's Souls... trying to collect souls to level up, running one section backwards that features some "Death" type enemies. Well, one of them happens to be right in front of a cliff and you need to be fast to attack them or else they shoot some magical lazer beam that hurts a LOT. I ran, smacked him right off the ledge, but my momentum carried my character over as well. Not all is lost, however, since you can collect your dropped Souls (exp, basically) if you get back to where you died. But instead, I died on the way there by being retarded/impatient and ended up losing a lot of work and ~400 000 souls or something. FML.

Got FFVII, played a marathon all the way up until that wolf character (Red 13?) and the system froze....I had forgotten to save at all.

I've had a couple of memory cards wiped. Oh, and since picking up Persona 3 again; I've re-discovered the pain of fighting a boss for an hour only to get game over when he cast's an instant death spell on the main character -_-

When I turned off my Playstation 2 after completing Star Wars: Battlefront 2 in one play through and realized 2 seconds afterwards that I had forgotten to save at any point...

I raged hard.

A friend of mine had such an experience in GTA San Andreas. I was playing in my file, and at one point I let him take over. Suddenly, he went to save his game and out of force of habit, he saved my file over his own, causing him to lose all his progress.

What? I loved that game.
It was God Of War without....well, everything. The characters were faceless hunks of meat with crappy voice acting, the combat was button-bashing without any of the QTE or timing elements, the story...well, I'm not even going into the story.

Suffice to say, to my mind it was just a poor GoW rip-off.

I'm stuck in a room in metroid prime echoes. There is no way out. It's glitched. It's been like this for a few years. I've had friends try, followed guides. Theres. No. Way. Out.
