Playing RE 4 for the first time and dying numerous times to the crazy controls, brutal first lvl (for a first time RE player, and random button mashing sequences that pop up.

Oh god, I was so close to finishing Lego Star Wars 2, all levels done, 60 something out of 99 gold bricks, stuff like that. Then my sister tried to play, and saved over my 77% file with her own 3% done file. Never again have I let her touch my Xbox. And i have not played that game since.

Super Bomberman was always full of these. Often you would just be really unlucky and end up completely surrounded by massive-blast bombs, half of which you placed or threw with a glove only to bounde back on to you.

Right after my last girlfriend broke up with me, I went online in Red Dead Redemption in hopes of forgetting my woes. A friend and I cruised over to Pikes Basin to clear the gang hide-out. We arrived there to find another posse of players entering it. We tried to negotiate with them over who got to do it or whether we could join their posse or not, but they wouldn't have it. Negotiations broke down and they opened fire on us.

So anyways, I'm at the entrance at the top of the steep path leading down around the corral, crouching with a rolling block rifle. Another player runs by me and whistles for his horse. I aim at the back of his head, and right before I pull the trigger his horse cruises by me and pushes me off the ledge. I quit then and there. >_<

As for ingame moments, I've lost 6 hours of Fallout 3 gameplay when it froze/crashed as I left Megaton. And gone was my Firelance...

Outside, I lost all saves a year back when the backup I made before switching hard drives on my PS3. It actually made me replay and enjoy both MW1 and Soul Calibur 4, and I'd already lost my precious in Fallout 3, so this one wasn't that bad. In retrospect.

I chickened out, got a minor ending.
From the art style of that character alone, I'm in love with that game already, whatever it may be. Is a review forthcoming?

Once my Gamecube memory card data got corrupted, had to format the data. And this wasn't one of those times where you could leave it for about a day and everything would be better. I actually had to format the memory card. So... much... data... lost...
I feel your pain.

Brother lost my PS2 Memory Card. As you said: "So... much... data... lost..." :'[

It's called Crescendo, and I've only been playing it for a week so far. It'll be a bit before my review.

Hell, I still need to finish the review for the last game...I...played...

Okay, I know what I'll be doing the next couple of hours.

Brutal! I played through three times, over 300 hours, and I never found the Firelance. If I finally did and the game froze I'd would have vomited in terror.

Not my clip but none the less, the biggest FML moment in gaming.
Thats was hilarious, the voice was perfect.

For me: A round of Rush in Bad Company 1. I'm about to lay a batch of C4 on the Gold Crate, getting me the trophy where you have to destroy the last objective in a game three seperate times.

Suddenly, I hear a the sound of my PS3's fan going BRRRRRRRRRR and the screen freezes.

Fuck.

One of those new Spyro games, I think it might have been Hero's Tale, where I had unlocked most stuff by finding those eggs... and then the save was corrupted, and suddenly I couldn't play as Ember anymore... very frustrating.

In Fallout 3.
I saved my game right before I went to jump off a large tower.
The save didn't work properly, and when I reloaded my game after falling to my amusing ragdoll death, I was already in mid-air; falling again.
It took me about twenty minutes to angle myself just right so I didn't end up dying from my fall.
Still, better to do that than to reload my save before that, and lose over six hours of gameplay.

Made someone do this before on Drakan: The ancients gates
That was hilarious. Wrecked their entire game. We still laugh about it. Well, I laugh, he kicks me in the shin
OT: 8 hours into Fable 2 on a second playthrough, the save breaks when I try reloading. Fairly bog standard FML, but it still put me off the game

I tried going to Vault 22 in F:NV and as I'm walking there, I get ambushed by a group for Cazadors, which are huge ass black wasps that can fuck up a lower level character quite quickly. I ran into the same swarm twice, died both times.

Although I've lost data previously, I think the most recent FML moment had to be when I was playing GTA IV.

I was struggling with this mission and for the fifth time was succeeding, I was so chuffed, I was driving speedily away from the cops (still wanted, about 10 seconds from becoming unwanted and therefore winning the mission) and the streets were clear bar someone standing in the middle of the road. Well, its GTA IV, so I just thought "screw it, lets run them over". Turns out this person was apparently made of concrete, I flew out the windscreen at such speed, my car blew up, I died and had to restart the mission.

Once I manage to prise my jaw from the floor, I tried to find him again. I have never found concrete man in the same place ever again. And I doubt I ever will!
