Ribs. The taste is delicious but my teeth are sensitive to extreme heat like that and it's a pain in the arse too eat all around the bone without getting messy.
Same here, minus the dental handicap. They're soooo goood if you get them from a good place, and I usually have to grab hand wipes from the car just so I don't have to spend 5 minutes licking my fingers.

Homemade peanut butter pie drizzled with hot fudge "takes the cake" with me. It's not a pain to eat, just to make.

Artichokes, lychees, mangoes, pineapple (mmm fresh pineapple), tagliatelle, olive oil crackers (recipe I found online, really tasty but takes ages to bake - I once spent hours and hours baking tray after tray, but then again I did have 2kg of dough then - don't ask), spekkoek (sooo damn tasty (especially the pandan version) but takes forever to make - thank god for tokos (East Asian food stores)), "quesadillas" (the recipe I use calls them quesadillas, but apparently they're actually called sincronizadas, two flower tortillas with cheese between them, grill - not really hard to make, in fact very easy, but also burns quickly), probably more but I forget.

Any kind of wrap.

I inevitably put too much stuff in the thing and end up eating a rolled-up tortilla and picking the insides up off my plate.

Any fruit in which one cannot eat the skin (or the skin just tastes horrible).

Oranges, Kiwis, Pomegranates, you name it.

Sushi! I'm usually OK with chopsticks but I cant pick the little blighters up in once piece with them and I end up just using my hands and stuffing the whole thing in my gob at once.

Artichokes are probably my favorite food, but they are such a ***** to eat and 90% of it is unedible.

That's why I eat bachelor food like frozen pizzas, PBJ sandwiches, and pretty much anything microwaveable.

Well, if you take a litteral definition of the "pain in the arse to eat", I guess watermelon would be a fine choice.

BBQ flavoured ribs gets all my fingers sticky. Also, a not-well cooked steak, with lot of fat on it, is hard to chew.

Can't really think of anything, most things just slide down nice and easy.
With you on that one.

If I really enjoy a food, rest assured that there is no hassle involved.

They're called CRAWfish thank you very much. And yes, they are both the most delicious food ever AND the biggest pain in the ass to eat. :D
Wiki says you can use either
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Crayfish
They come from Louisiana, so we here in Louisiana get to name them. And we named them crawfish. :p
Wow, so all of the ones I caught out back of my grandpa's house in his creek were really from Louisiana? I'm kidding really. Crawfish are wonderful, but I usually just get the tails and use them in dishes. It makes eating them so much easier, though purists might stone me for this.

I also agree with the pistachio eaters, especially pistachios that have been colored red and green. So not only are your fingers salty and dry and cut, they're red and green. Christmas can be messy

Crab legs. They're spiky and hard and a total pain to get to the meat, but it is always worth it!!!

Sunflower seeds. I just take a handful and chew them up and just keep the mush in my mouth until it's flavorless. I don't think it's worth that much time and effort just for a tiny little seed.

I love eating Asian food with a special, VERY hot peanut sauce.
Well, it's quite literally a pain in the arse once it's been, uhm, processed.
