Flaming Hot Cheetos, or really anything spicy. My stomach can't handle a ton of spicy food at once, and thus, I get blood in my stool. Only when I eat hot stuff, though. So I'm not dying which made me happy ... even though I do eat them once and awhile - knowing full well I have a high percentage of a bad time in the bathroom.

I keep this fact secret in my day to day life because it is way too close to the trendy gluten intolerance (I know people who legitly have crone's disease andthe like where if they eat a piece of bread they are hospitalized, they have a problem, but some fam/friends get 'run down' or have 'headaches' and that's BS). but...

I get absolutely wrecked if I eat too many simple carbs without enough protein. I don't know what the issue is exactly, but if I eat a pancake or a tiny brownie (which an amazing coworker brings in every monday), within 15 minutes I am so bloated my stomach is visibly distended, raging heartburn, and very painful cramps, these symptoms last several hours and start to fade as my body expels the horrendous unpleasantness brewing in my gut in various ways, the whole process takes 12 to 18 hours or so. I still experience it but it is significantly reduced if I eat a good amount of protein with it, like if I want pancakes/waffles/toast I need to eat at least an equal volume of eggs &/or meat with it. I love these things and still eat them if I don't have anything going on or just can't turn them down, and have gotten pretty good at hiding it.

Soft serve icecream for me.

Lactose intolerance kind of sucks, but for the most part I can have a reasonable amount of cheese or icecream without having problems. I don't even need the magic pills most of the time. But soft serve icecream is like eating pure evil. It doesn't matter how many pills I take, and it doesn't matter how little I eat. I don't even get gas or the craps, just an unending gut wrenching stomach ache after the first mouthful. I'm not much for fast food, but several years ago we were having my moms favorite (DQ and blizzards) for her birthday, and two spoonfuls in and I was wrecked. On the couch for a few hours recovering.

I know lactose can easily be extracted, and is cream soluble, so I wonder if part of the production process for soft serve icecream like what goes in a blizzard involves pumping up the sugar levels in normal icecream by adding more lactose.

In an unrelated note I brew beer as a hobby, and I found out lactose is a non-fermentable sugar so you can add it to beers to make them sweeter or pull out sour/bitter flavours. Holding a bag of pure lactose in my hand was bizarre considering I felt as though I may as well be holding rat poison.

Allergy to sugar AND lactose here.
For tea I need to use honey or other sugar replacements otherwise might aswell set camp on the loo.

My allergy to lactose isn't that severe luckily, and can drink milk in small doses.

No allergies or anything, but as a kid I ate a shitload of chocolate during Christmas. The kind made with coconut oil(don't know the English name, we call them ice chocolate for some reason). I ended up with an extreme stomach pain and haven't been able to eat them since. Whenever I've tried one I've felt sick. :(

Edit: Turns out there isn't an English name as it's a German and Swedish thing. Ischoklad/Eiskonfekt then, if you're intrested.

In Canada we have something based on those chocolates called just called icy squares, because they feel cool in your mouth. They don't look the same but they are made with almost the same recipe including coconut oil.

I cannot eat take-away pizza anymore, especially dominoes.
I surprised the sensation of eating hot sick wasn't enough to put you off (that's Dominoes-specific BTW, normal pizza is awesome).
I grew up in a very lower class family, and we lived so far out in the countryside that I never had a take-away pizza until I was about 15.

My standards were very low, like the guy who bangs a fatty to lose his virginity.

There used to be a time where I loved putting mayo in my sandwiches and having a guacamole spread on my roll tacos and chips... I miss only half on that time the most...

Other than that, I can't seem to enjoy Cadbury Creme Eggs anymore... Is it a taste bud thing the same way it was for mayo or was it more akin to guacamole?

*siiiighs and considers what to put here* I suppose what I miss most is baby red octopus. I used to enjoy greatly the chance to eat them, but any method of finding them here died with the Chinese Dining place in Jacksonville closing. The fact that I could get moose eyes easier then them says something...

That and gator.. God I miss gator..

I used to indulge in Vitamin-B supplements to keep my energy levels high. It used to work great, and B-vites are water soluble, so anything that's excessive gets peed out by the body anyway. No harm done, right?

Well, the problem is, those supplements contain Niacin, which takes priority in the body. Just can't flush it out quick enough. But at some point in the last 5 years I acquired a condition called Hyperuricemia which basically means my body produces abnormally large levels of uric acid. And the body is more eager to flush out the the Niacin than it is the urate.

Because of this, the uric acid backs up and forms crystals in the blood, which find their way between small joints, usually in the fingers and toes. It was always the toes for me. This causes an excruciating Gout flare up that is one of the worst things ever.

There are worse pains to deal with, but not many. An interrogator would need only to move my big toe a quarter inch to get me to confess to almost anything.

I dunno if there's anything I'm really incapable of eating in some capacity anymore. I guess I used to be able to stomach Oreos a lot better than I can now. Nowadays, even eating more than one just makes me feel terrible and disgusting.

Is that terrible considering I love such classy restaurants as Taco Bell?

Bananas and pineapple. Apparently it's common for someone with a latex allergy to have at least a mild reaction to those. Pineapples are bad enough with bromelain in it but it seems to only take one bite for me to get that burning and itching sensation. Bananas cause this for me too. It's not deadly but it's annoying. I tend to eat it anyways but always end up regretting it as my mouth gets sores that take a couple of days to go away.

For the record, Cadbury Eggs and most other Cadbury products sold in the US are NOT made by Cadbury anymore, they're made by Hershey. And Hershey thought no one would notice the recipe was changed but they're dead wrong. If you can't stomach it anymore it might be because it's not the same creme eggs you're used to.

I am unable to eat fried foods because of uclers. Now my doctor tells me that it's best not to eat most citrus fruit as I might have an allergic reaction.

Holy shit, I just recently started taking B-12 supplements. I will definitely be watching for this. I guess if I can't find a supplement without niacin I'll just take them once a week rather than once a day.

Gone lactose intolerant my self, but only for milk for some odd reason, I still love chocolate milk but it gives me gas. The kind of gas where I could be convicted of a war crime if the military used them in an interrogation.

I also can't eat Pizza Hut Pan Pizza anymore, it's just a little undercooked in the crust and very greasy and it gives me the worst heart burn.

I still partake of mint a lot though, even if it gasses me up really bad.

While I can't know for absolute sure, you'll probably be fine anyway. My doctor said my case was unusual even as a guy because I just have really high levels of uric acid and didn't fall into the usual risk factors that exacerbate it.

Niacin isn't a huge factor, it's about 4th on the list (after heredity, weight, and excessive consumption of alcohol, meat or shellfish.) Since I wasn't doing any of those (though I was a bit heavier back then) the pain was bad enough that I figured it wasn't worth the risk of tipping the scale.

That said, women are statistically less likely to be affected by gout or hyperuricemia. It does happen (I come across it at work on occasion), it's just not as often.

Aw shit! Now, how am I suppose to know if I can still enjoy some Cadbury Eggs if they're not even the same Cadbury Eggs at this point? *shakes fist* Damn you Hershey!
