excuse me if I don't know what that means, but. . . I'm guessing you mean Soccer and video games, and I'd very safely guess you are most definitely not alone. Might be a rare specimen, but not alone.

I only ever watch proper football during the Fifa world cup. At which time I turn into a raving madman. Meaning I could fit into a pub anywhere else in the world easily, and you'd never notice.

Eh, here in America, we treat soccer like our politics. Once every 4 years we get excited about it, then when it's over we do our best to ignore it.

You're not alone but I think we are quite a rare breed. Very few of my friends are into football and most of the people I've played football with over the years are those I don't have much in common with.

Nope. You are cold and alone. Between the millions of gamers and millions of football fans there is not a single intersection other than you.

I too enjoy football and video games.

Translation for non-football and video game fans: I too enjoy locking myself in my room being anti-social and wasting my life in front of a screen except for when I leave the house to go and see a bunch of overpaid, talentless idiots.

Funnily enough I support a non-league club, (Luton Town) I was watching them on tv once and my housemate came in and said 'bunch of overpaid divers' and left...non-league players don't get paid quite that much. And diving really isn't that frequent.

Oh please. If there were no sizable group of fans liking both sports and games, would EA keep releasing the same sports titles year after year after year?

No way man. I'm a Man Utd (Vamos Chicharito!), Club America and Real Madrid fan and I LOVE my Fallout, GTA, and Dead Rising. Hell I'm even a big fan of hardcore computer stragety, but I'll drop everything to watch the Premier League or Primera Division. So yeah, you're far from alone. Also, FIFA 11 is a good way to get people that are really into games, into soccer. Thats how I learned a lot of the ins and outs of the beautiful game.

When the World Cup comes around, I get really excited about football. When it ends I don't care about it on a professional level, but I'll still play it with my friends.

But at all times I love baseball. All these lockout of American sports leagues I couldn't care less about unless baseball lockouted, then I'd be upset.

Lol. I love being called a Yank. >.>
Funny how that word is no longer considered a derogatory insult. Also, it would be MUCH less flamebait if OP just said "American Football" instead of "that crappy yank shiz." Also, I apologize in the name of America for having an intense sport that has a vast fanbase where the fans have cookoffs and den parties instead of looting and pillaging.

lol I came into this thread to see what the hell "footy" meant ^_^

OT:
I've never really liked watching sports. Watching someone else have fun seems a little boring to me and my minor case of ADD

Season's already started for me... agg 3-0 (Europa League first qualifier). We'll be burned out before Christmas probably... *sigh*

Anyway, what's with Sunderland and their massive shopping list?? 20million for selling Jordan Henderson... and it seems like the retirement ground for Man U players =P

Massive footy fan here. My backlog of uncompleted games is the only thing keeping me sane in the off season. Roll on August, this ESP season shaping up to be very interrsting. Hoping my belovedLiverpool can continue their resurgence from the last part of last season.
