For People Who Own an Xbox 360 and a PS3...

I'm a very pick-up-and-go kind of person. Any game I've ever played,I've bought it, put in my console, taken 30 seconds to figure out the controls by pressing each button in turn, and play. Only reading the manual later if I'm bored.
I always used to play on my friend's Playstations (He's had them since PS1), and when it came to my first time playing an Xbox, the only transition I found even slightly difficult was from R1, R2, R3 etc. to RB, RT, RS. So I've never found controllers difficult to master.
And anyway, if the game requires movement, why is your thumb not permanently on the stick?
