Stop deliberately misspelling the "comments" of people you disagree with, or think foolish. This has been getting worse, and worse in the last year or so, and it really needs to stop.

The people whom you are in disagreement with, do not type like the following example:

"HURR DURR, I BETZ THEY LIKE DIZ, RITE?!"

... And you do not make yourself look any smarter, or more informed, by acting like your detractors are mindless cretins.

If the person/company/entity in question is intelligent enough for you to take the time to argue with, they are worth the time to portray properly.

I assume this has been happening to you alot?

Otherwise I don't understand the point of complaining about it, especially with much better things to complain about. Like feminism threads, EA, or Ass Creed 3.

Erm...well, thanks for that PSA. I honestly didn't notice it being much of a problem.

One question though, what if your detractor really is a mindless cretin?

Oh, OK, in that case

See, no spelling mistakes there.

People actually do that? I... what? I actually have to resist correcting spelling during arguments sometimes...

Yeah, I love it when thread titles cut off half-way through where they should end. It's to generate more views! :D

For the love of god don't leave your username at the end of your post.

Can that be my pet-peeve PSA of the month?

OT: Ha, I'm usually the one being altered when quoted. XD

I don't mind it though. I like to see what others think of me.

I'm torn in two. The normal, asshole in me wants to tell you to stop complaining/crying/whining/bitching about what other people do on the INTERNET, one of the most insignificant places to get so butthurt about what one random person says about another random person.

The brony side of me tells me to just ignore this copy/paste thread that crops up like clockwork on these forums.

*sigh* Seems like the asshole in me won that one.

Hope you get to the point when random things said/typed in response to you or other people on forums doesn't get you so riled up that you have to make a thread to inform the rest of us that probably don't give a...

Ok I've gone on far enough.

Sorry.

The asshole in me will probably stew on this verbally as I finish folding my clothes.

Whachu gonna do?

Ha!

More seriously, I haven't even seen this around here yet. Will you agree to stop pointlessly signing your posts (we can already see your fricking user name, people who do this) if whoever's doing it stops?

But but but... that would be such an easy way to tell it's time to completely disregard what they have to say!

Then the quote probably isn't misspelled.

But...but...what about the grammar? THE GRAMMAR?!?!?!

;P

But anyway, back OT: I really haven't noticed this problem all that much. Sorry.

I don't mind it though. I love Persona 4 too much to be bothered by something as inane as being misquoted.
:D

What? I didn't do anything. Don't look at me like that.

Does this thread even have an on-topic section? How much discussion can you actually get out of "Don't misquote other people!"

A little off topic, but I was reading the Diablo 3 thread, the one with the Blizzard rep letter. Stumbled upon this post by Tradjus:

I really, really hate when someone sets out to apologize for problems, but comes off as a self-congratulatory douche. Seriously, doesn't anyone read these before they go out for public viewing? Wasn't there at least one person at the top of the corporate ladder who had the good sense to understand that this would only irritate, or worse, enrage everyone who had these problems with Diablo 3? Are they seriously so disconnected from reality, that when this open letter was looked over, they said "YARP, DAT LUKS LEIK IT'LL WURK! THEY GONNA LURVE DIS!"
It's incomprehensible to me how people can be so highly paid yet be so utterly ineffectual at doing what they're supposed to do.

Holy shit, the irony of running into that straight out of this topic made me laugh my ass off. I needed a good laugh. Thank you. :D

Well, at least I get across the fact that I love Persona 4. That's good to know. XD

You have a sense of humor and can play along. I like that.

So, completely off-topic, I've never played further than about an hour into Persona 4, what non-spoiler-y tips can you give me for when I finally decide to actually pick it up? I've long heard that there are a bunch of monsters and status effects that really love to fuck up the player during battles.

Oh, I guess I'm probably derailing the topic here.

Yeah, I guess it would annoy me if someone quoted me and changed my post to "HURR DURR DESE R RESONS Y I'M STOOPID!", but especially on this website I've never seen anything like that happen directly between users. And if it did, you could be damn sure the mods would act on it pretty quickly if it got brought up to their attention.

I've never had this happen to me ever, either because the people I argue with are polite or too lazy to mess with my quotes :p I've had people quote my replies without removing their quotes I used so their posts ended up half as big as the page <---large exaggeration but you get the idea

WHAT?! NO MORE THAN AN HOUR?! That's where the game starts to get good. You've at least beat the first boss, right?

what non-spoiler-y tips can you give me for when I finally decide to actually pick it up? I've long heard that there are a bunch of monsters and status effects that really love to fuck up the player during battles.
Umm... let's see..

-It's not really the monsters you have to look out for, just they're attacks.

Hama skills and Mudo skills are instal-kill and can be VERY deadly, and as you might know, if protagonist dies, game over. So be sure to fuse some persona with defenses against those two elements and maybe some with mudo and hama so they can make battles go a lot faster.

-Prioritize your social links, mainly your party's. Once you get a teammates social link maxed, they're persona will evolve and will gain helpful attributes like being nullified to their own element *Example - Yosuke's main element is wind. Get his persona evolved, and he will no longer be effected by wind*

-Fuse Fuse Fuse. Get the best personae you can. And before you go on to face the final boss, make sure you fuse Trumpeter. He's a savior.

-Take the investigation seriously. It's very crucial in the last 30-40 hours or so. If you're stumped, go over the clues.

-As a final note, be sure to visit the Junes food-court before you leave to go back to your home-town.

Persona 4 is a true masterpiece. Make sure you finish it as soon as soon as possible. :)

Also, if it isn't a bother, you should join the Persona fan-group. We like Persona. :3
