The only interesting question here is trying to predict what the next "movement" will be.

Two things: One, did you just put Goths on the same level as Juggalos? And two, did you just put Bronies on the same level as either of them? Two of those are countercultures/high school clique stereotypes. The third one is more of a subculture within the general culture of nerds.

Edit: Somehow missed the reference to emos. That's a highschool clique as well. Emo is basically to goth as scene kids are to 70's and 80's punks.

Well, that's a sign I need to get some sleep; it looked like he was serious to me. Some of the users on these forums have a tendency to post in a... shall we say socially mal-adjusted manner? Sometimes it's hard to tell people who are legitimately a bit odd from the trolls.

Its because the mods here are such fascists that we've cultivated a highly class of troll in order to dodge bans, it brings a tear to my eye, I'm so proud of you guys.

All I know is this; I will be watching tonight with my girlfriend, with tons of junkfood and alcohol! Our regular movienight with all of the episodes of the shows we watch in a row, and we will finish it off with My Little Pony, completly pissed and happy!

I like My Little Pony FiM ( I am not afraid to say it) because it is one of the best made kiddie shows out there as of today. ^^ It is the same reason why I still watch Animaniacs/Sonic/Freakazoid.

You are incorrect, from a purely objective standpoint Battle of the Planets is the best made "kids" show.

I actually like the show, and I see how many feels it's too childish. But the writers have some clever ideas and uses the setting for all it's worth.
A good example is when a character in the show uses words like everybody and somebody, they say everypony or somepony. but where other kid's shows whould pause for you to react and use it as a joke, it's played straight.

Kinda silly to have such double standards, but adults watch kids shows all the time. For boys. They're ignored or considered manchildren, unless it's ZOMG A LITTLE GURLZ SHOW!!!!!

It seems to me like the whole "bronies" thing boils down to one simple fact. They don't have enough of a personality to get by on their own, so they have to adopt a ridiculous counter culture that nobody would expect from them so they seem interesting. That counter culture is rebelling against masculinity and loving my little ponies, which were created as a play toy for little girls in the 80s. Nothing wrong with little girls with playing with ponies. There's quite a bit wrong with adolescent and 20 year old males obsessing over a toy designed for little girls just to make an identity for themselves because they aren't interesting enough on their own merits.

OMG we need to bring Hamtaro back to cultural relevance. I saw Hamtaro Halloween costumes at a discount store the other day, I could buy those and use the masks for some kind of viral video. I have tapes too, Hamtaro tapes! And two plush toys! We can do this!

Now we need to come up with the Hamtaro equivalent of Brony, Hrony, naw that sounds a lot like "horny"...

I remember absolutely hating that show when it aired on Toonami, but I also remember hearing that the English dub was butchered almost as badly as the Cardcaptor Sakura dub, which tried (and failed) to change a shojo series into a shonen. Are you guys serious about wanting to bring it back?
