Okay I was thinking about Force unleashed 2 and a idea that what if you could use natal to grip enemies and throw them about or force choke them. If there is any thing wrong with this idea please tell me.

The idea sounds fine to me, it'll just depend on how accurate Natal's sensors are.

I dislike Natal as a concept though, I'll always prefer an actual controller.

If employed well, that would be completely fucking ball-shrinkingly sweet. Sadly, it'll never happen. It just wouldn't be responsive enough.

In the event that Natal is as great as they say it will be then FU2 would be the best game in the history of ever when using it. But as I have little faith in Natal I doubt if it would work as well as we would like.

Agreed...And when I think 'actual controller' I think standard controller: no like the wii-mote or the PS-Wand but the actual controller.

OT: It does sound like a neat idea though but I can only see it working as a sort of rail-shooter style, arcade game.

It does sound neat, but I don't think Natal can handle that.

Still, if it works, it could be revolutionary.

... Ok, maybe not, but still sweet.

Yeah, that is the type of controller I meant. Although the Wiimote sideways can function as a functional controller. Super Paper Mario comes to mind.

You know, I'm glad to see some other people jumping on Star Wars as a good outlet for motion controls. I mean come on, what other single object did people imagine using the most when the Wii first arrived on the scene? And yet, it's controls were inaccurate and sluggish, so even if they were to create a proper "lightsaber game" it would be limited by the hardware.

Enter Natal, a sort of wide-angle camera motion controller that can take objects you're holding and transpose them to objects in a game. This seems like a natural step in the right direction but i find it hard to believe it will be straight 1-to-1 combat even then.

Don't get me wrong, I'm excited to see what they're going to do with it to make Natal a unique experience that people actually want to spend money on. But I'm not holding my breath given the type of games we've seen so far from motion controls, be it on the Wii or otherwise.

I'm going to give Natal a bit of credit and say that it would be fuckin' awesome... for a while.
Honesty though, the problem with motion controllers is that an out of shape person like me would get tired of flailing about. I also beat most games in one day, so it would be hard to imagine myself moving about for 6 hours.

But I think it would be awesome if incorporated and from what I've seen of Natal, it seems wholey possible that it would be pretty responsive.

It would have to be rated M to not advicate that there not attempting to make 4 year olds mimic throat choking motions sense Teen and lower don't come with purchase resrtictions.

About the tech I guess you might have issuses aiming at who you want to choke in a crowd.

There is a article some were on IGN boards that states Force unleashed two is getting move support for the PS3. Yeh selecting a enemy out of a group could be a downside if they did give the idea a go.

Meh. Normally it would be interesting, but you'd end up looking like this guy. [http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=HPPj6viIBmU]

good idea. i just have a problem with motion sensors as they all hate me and i have to look like a twat when i use them. i'm gonna stick to a controller but just cos i'm stuck in my old fashioned mindset
