Well then, to step right up and answer your questions from the original post:hopeneverdies said:And I'm not asking for it. SeriouslyNmil-ek said:Tough luck, no sympathy from me.
And I totally agree, it just seems a bit much for me to pay for over a sixteen year lifespan and I rarely buy things anyway. if it were possible to get a job because I have no form of transport that could get me anywhere with teenage employment within a reasonable timespan because it is not legal for me to drive due to my all of a sudden poor eyesight.Gitsnik said:On the topic of your parents house law, there are two thoughts I have - the first is that they have to pay for your computer, your internet, your power, your food, your water, your heating, your cooling, your clothes (I could keep going but I know you get what I'm saying), so if they want to start making you responsible for non-essentials, it will be a great life experience. Ok so you don't have a job, this is a good excuse to go out and get one. The other thought is that it is just for entertainment - if your parents have to nag you to get off the console or pc to do something you should have done already, that's your fault not theirs. to.hopeneverdies said:And I'm not asking for it. Go mow lawns for old people, that was my first job and I did it for wages that would make the minimum wage council cry - it certainly made my chiropractor cry considering the back injuries I'd sustained from a car accident prior. If your parents are making up chores on the spot, they don't count as chores - they're things they want you to do immediately. Chores are your daily things "Feed the dogs" "Chop the wood" "Water the garden" and as such there isn't really an excuse to be forgetting them. Also, something I only nailed down in my 18th year (just before I moved out) - if there is some dirty clothes on the floor, pick them up so your mother doesn't have to. Dishes (if you know how to wash) should be done when you see them, shit like that. It's not hard, it's just everyone gets all angsty teen and doesn't bother to do this sort of thing.hopeneverdies said:And I totally agree, it just seems a bit much for me to pay for over a sixteen year lifespan and I rarely buy things anyway. if it were possible to get a job because I have no form of transport that could get me anywhere with teenage employment within a reasonable timespan because it is not legal for me to drive due to my all of a sudden poor eyesight.Gitsnik said:On the topic of your parents house law, there are two thoughts I have - the first is that they have to pay for your computer, your internet, your power, your food, your water, your heating, your cooling, your clothes (I could keep going but I know you get what I'm saying), so if they want to start making you responsible for non-essentials, it will be a great life experience. No one is hiring either. And if I could do all my chores before they nag me, I would have to have the power to read minds because it is an on the spot do it when they think it up
There is your problem.hopeneverdies said:my life doesn't matter
I meant that in a respond to the original question at hand sort of way. You guys shouldn't be worried about my life, and I am truly flattered, but I want your stories, to compare it to my experiences.Dart378 said:There is your problem.hopeneverdies said:my life doesn't matter
Suck it up Nancy.
Since when do they allow 12 year olds on the internet? How dare you PARENTS bother you while you are doing something important like TF2! It's like, so totally unfair!hopeneverdies said:Well I just got kicked for the first time from a match of TF2. I wasn't being a jerk or anything. It was because my parents forced me to go AFK for like 10 min to do something stupid like ask me how to unzip a file or tell me that video games will rot my brains. And they do this all the time and they don't care that it pisses off my team because they are down one spy checker.
A game is something to entertain. But is it fair that for a game that I paid for, I am not allowed to be entertained by because of some stupid menial task I'm asked to do?
Now Escapist I ask you, anything similar happen to you and how you feel about it?
Me being pissed: If this keeps going, I might just have to sell my PC and all games and then pay back my parents even though it was a Xmas present, because they threatened to instate a pay back for anything that is not necessary to life over $50 house law.
Pricetag: about $2000
EDIT: Please lock this topic, I always regret writing them, even if it is a good thread like my If Jack Thompson ran the industy topic, I feel stupid
EDIT AGAIN: I would really like you guys criticizing/sympathizing with my situation, my life doesn't matter I really needed to vent. I want to know your experiences
