I'm currently FORCING myself to finish watching the rest of the anime Samurai Deeper Kyo...
the idea behind it is good...and it started relatively OK but at this point watching more than one episode in a row will reduce me to using foul language at my pc...and the only reason i'm still watching it is because well its almost done so i might as well do it...

the English voice acting isn't the greatest but not the worst...it's riddled full of the "power of friendship BS" among other Cliché's and there is this one girl in particular who is really grating my nerves...Yuya Shiina... I've seen some useless bimbos in anime but she takes the cake...hell even Sakura from Naruto can break stuff now...

anyways it's 26 episodes long and i'm finally on 25...but i've stopped for now because i need a break...and this is particularly disappointing for an anime, because if you are a regular watcher of anime you would know that a good anime is like crack...one hit and your stuck...just waiting for the next hit...

so what i'm asking is if there is a TV show/anime that you started watching and then you realized that it's a load horse poo but you've reached so far you might as well just finish the season?

The biggest example of this that I can think of is the original Full Metal Alchemist anime. I know there a lot of people who will disagree, but I found the middle of the show to be pretty horrible and almost unwatchable. The beginning and end of the series was great, but the middle just dragged on forever. I feel they could have cut 25 episodes and it would have been great.

Yeah, Nip / Tuck. The first season was pretty cool and I really liked where it was going-- then the second season sort of threw me for a loop. Third season was really pushing it with the severe melodrama, and after the fourth season I realized that I really didn't enjoy anything past the first season. So bluh.

*raises flame shield* Code Geass for me. I liked how it began but along the way I started hating it. The only reason I kept watching is just so I could see how it would end. Same for Vampire Knight. I hate it when stuff gets overly serious and stops being fun.

Nope... sounds kind of dumb, if you ask me!
i guess it does sound dumb...but say after 10 episodes and you kinda get the idea of the plot and mysteries, also you start to learn people's motive and all that...after all that you just kinda want to know how it's all going play out... unfortunately the ride sucks which is what is happening to me...

Heroes. The first season had so much promise, and I was even able to stomach the second season with a little 'meh'. But after that, shit got sour. Really sad; I'm a big fan of superheroes and comics, and it was so much fun seeing it on tv... /sigh.

I forced myself to watch the rest of the Naruto series up to shippuden for the sake of not leaving it unifinished, it had begun to irk me. Then i watched some of the Shippuden (Am i even spelling that right?!?) but it came across as tedious, i do plan on finishing it, i dont like seeing things un finished.

A Certain Scientific Railgun (prequel to index). I really loved A Certain Magical Index, but Railgun had a completely different mood, and turned into some asinine story about school days. The best parts are when the main character friom index cameos from time to time. Im up to episode 18. Ill probably go back to it soon.

I found this problem in a few shows,

Spoiler: InuYasha was one of them; in 180ish episodes they still hadn't killed Naraku or gotten all of the shards yet... And I finally gave up on BLEACH after 260+ episodes.

I tried to hang in there, I really did but it was so tedious that I couldn't bare to watch it anymore.

This is a lot of anime for me unfortunately. It usually starts out really intriguing... but eventually the characters all fall into their neat little places in the story.

A few exceptions I can make are Shaman King, Arc the Lad and Full Metal Alchemist.

Lost, Prison Break, Heroes and Fringe. Except, I've just stopped watching them. I watched The Wire, realised these shows were terrible in comparison, and gave up on them all. I've only got like 4 more episodes of Lost and Prison Break, but bucket, I couldn't give a fuck what happens.

Lost. I kept thinking "Come on Ben, they've promised you time and again that this is leading somewhere just tough it out no matter how little sense it's making". It didn't lead anywhere.
