Elemental, a band from Croatia. They've got a lot of diverse songs and I love them all.

there is loads better, but this the best i could find on short notice. also, japanese rock is totally awesome!next to the english and yanks, japan have the best music composers in the world.there are loads of examples, but i'll give ya just 2:
I hate that kind of japanese music. They are amazing people and composers and go out of their way to make shitty copies of western songs...As an example all rock artists seem to be copying David Bowie.Only they suck.Their more traditional things are exceptional.Like this:

OT:Foreign is a bit weird since the forums are international. But if you want non-american and something more traditional for other countries I can give a few examples.Like Gogol Bordello.Gypsy punk rock at it's best :D.

I can't believe that noone has said Boris yet.

One of the heaviest bands I've ever heard. Also, the fact that they sing in Japanese means you don't have to put up with terrible heavy metal lyrics.

Also, described as "Japanese Sufjan Stevens":

I fuckin love this guy. That song is so damn happy.

I'm from NY, USA (for reference)

Brain Failure, punk rock from Beijing, China!

(this next one's actual title is "Listen To My Back. Go figure)

The Polysics, punk rock from Tokyo, Japan!

Slot are very good.
Indeed. Truly a unique sound and style. I've been listening to them for a few years now - if they can get an english release to be picked up by a label here in the states, they'll explode over here . . . mark my words.

They wouldn't sound so well.Sometimes the lead singer just doesn't sound good singing in English and most people don't understand that.Mainly the Japanese...

The cover from Finland is AWESOME! And while I think I've seen the name before, I've never really heard of Garmarna. I'll check them out, mbe they're even on Spotify (Swedish!XP!).

This is from a French cartoon, but great nonetheless. (I recommend that you give the show a chance as well!)

Where is the 'like' button? Do you know who the artist is?
