Grimfandango only because I played is a kid when the amazingness of the world flew past me, so I want to experience it again now that I am old enough to get it.

GTA IV. I got a blast out of it the first time i played it. Now i use it exclusively for its replay editor.

Minecraft. I miss the wonder it first gave me, before i realised how dangerous everything wasnt.

Amnesia The Dark Descent. When i first bought it, i couldnt run it due to a faulty Processor. By the time i upgraded, i knew way too much about the game and its story to ever be able to get a good experience.

Persona 4 with out a doubt.

<spoiler=THPLOILERZ>When Nanako dies...that just threw me over the edge. I'd give anything to relive that moment. And the true final final battle was just amazing with the music. Ugh, I just can't help but love it.

the game i'd forget just so i can play it again is Darksiders. Sure, there's better choices (F.E.A.R. comes to mind), but that is my choice

Dante's Inferno. If you ask me why, prepare for a wall-o-text.
To play it again, or to forget it exists?
To forget it exists. Before the procedure, I'd write myself a letter demanding that I never look up the game.

This is supposed to be about games you want to forget so you can play again. IE you don't know the story so you get more out of it.

OT: Neverwinter Nights 2 (and expansions, I consider them 1 game). I enjoy the games but knowing the story makes it a hard to play through completely again.

Bioshock, the twist is so obvious after you beat it once but it is amazing the first time

I want to see Portal 2's fantastic ending again. That or Red Dead Redption and Fallout 3.

I wouldn't forget any. I like to think that all the experiences I gain are completely unique and define from the first moment how I'm going to view them for the rest of my life. Sure, I've had a ton of great experiences, but re-experiencing them just for the sake of, well, that seems shallow to me. I'd rather go on to try out new experiences.
That's just my personal outlook on things. I'm sorry that I'm not much more help here.
I understand where that is coming from, but imagine a mystery game like L.A. Noir or Heavy Rain. The fun that comes from searching for evidence or uncovering the mystery is gone after the first play through (unless you mess up royally in Heavy Rain and fail to solve the mystery). To me it would be boring to play those games again when you know who the murder is and where they hid the evidence and who betrays who or whatever. Imagine being able to experience the wonder of uncovering those mysteries without having to wait for and buy the sequel or wait for DLC.

Personally I would want to forget Mass Effect, KoTOR, Jade Empire and Alpha Protocol because of all the amazing twists in the last three and the feeling of wonder and fear in Mass Effect from exploring a world different from ours and uncovering the Reaper threat (the talk with Virgil had me on the edge of my seat)!

Bioshock 1,because without the twist the game loses some of the steam it usually has.
I agree, the first time I played Bioshock it was amazing...especially when everything clicked towards the end.

I would probably erase all knowledge I have of MGS1 so that I could play through it and be completely surprised. Same with ff9. I saw a run through of them before deciding I wanted to play them, so all the surprise was gone by the time I got to play.

The entire Ivalice series

Shadow of the Colossus

edit to avoid low content warning

Ivalice, primarily because it's got an amazing series of stories, but you never get the same effect the second time. Same with SotC, but even more so, because in SotC, it's got a hugely cyclical nature, so it gets difficult to play it twice in a year.

WoW to be honest, I had a lot of fun up until raiding, and everything felt new, exploration was amazing and up until all the drama from building a raid guild over the past two and a half years I had a lot of fun just thinking that battleground (welfare epics) were awesome.
Ya know.. I never thought about that.. and as much as I hate WoW now, I have to agree. If I could go back to day one, brand new game, not knowing how awful the community is, not having done every quest a dozen times over, and not knowing how much shittier it has become since I started back in 04, I would find some enjoyment in it. Well, that, or I would hate the game purely on its own merits rather than my history with it to.

LA Noire.
AT the register, I overheard two employees talking about the ending.
That, or GTA IV, just so I could play through that awesomeness again.

Myst III was the only one I played and beat with absolutely no hints whatsoever. Wouldn't even look for the kickass soundtrack online until after I beat the game in case a song title gave something away.

I wish I had done the same with Riven. So yeah, that's the one I'd forget.

But the fish-subway/monorail thing in the first game and the final puzzle in IV can still go fuck themselves in hell forever.
