Forgetting spoilers

I have just had the unfortunate experience of being exposed to a spoiler from a game that I'm really looking forward to, any advice on how to purge it from my mind?

Erm...I have no idea really. You can try look at something really, really offensive and hopefully that will work. Or maybe you can counter that spoiler with another spoiler!

Eh, I would say look for the proof, but I would just ignore it. Im okay with spoilers myself, never really changed the experience for me, but I know some people despise them. Just keep an open mind to other options, and if it does turn out to be true... well... you knew it first, grats to you!
