Yep, just clicking on it gets you that one. Same with the red button badge (if you click that one enough times over the course of a week, you get a second iteration) and the Duck Tales badge.
And is there any reason why the first five badges in my profile are not the five badges under my avatar most of the time?
I think the badge code on the site updates twice a day, so that might have something to do with it. It sometimes also takes a short while for profile changes to update. After you click and drag to change your badge order, make sure you've clicked the button to confirm- it'll grey out for a few moments and then confirm.

Warning, warning, extremely helpful being detected~~

OT: Okay now that I've got the spinning button badge I change my wish to "Amazing Topic!" because sparking discussion is what I'm really in it for.

The Forum Games are a great place to meet easy-going people and get your post count up in a friendly environment. Some of the more serious posters consider it a bit too much of an easy road to getting the post count and good conduct badges, but we could always use more people. Check out the Forum Games Group's front page for a list of the games.

If you've got an idea that hasn't been made into a game yet, it could be the next big thing.

I'll keep that in mind but for now I will keep my focus on locating that elusive mote of contemporary relevance that will turn a discussion into a wildfire debate and net me a cool thousand :p

You mean the Halloween ones that spelled "FREAK"? They had some little orange badges that went with them, but I believe that as of Halloween this year they are no longer obtainable.
Yeah. I browsed through the quizzes a while back and those were closed (or no longer yielded badges).

I thought it would be easy: just start a topic with the title "something/someone accused of racism" or "woman does something". Or is it starting to get old?

Any pony-related badge...The second pencil badge...The third flame badge...The PSN badge...A badge I contribute to making, kinda...Extra Credit badges...Those were the ones I could think of off the top of my head during my insomnia hours...
With cooperation, we can get you the pencil and fire ones easily enough. It's just a matter of time on those.
To me, the fire ones seems to take longer than the pencil ones... :p

The real question is: Can you contain the pending fire before someone gets burned and/or the house is forever condemned?

Why? Well the long and short of it is that it reminds me of XKCD's cat proximity strip, only with horses horsies instead of cats kitties!

And that amuses me. Then again, so does this:

Mine would probably be the "Thanks" badge I suppose. It looks special!
It's only special if you make it ought to be. In reality, most of you guys IRL probably have done things to earn yourselves a dozen "Thanks!" Badges altogether :p haha. Still, I feel what you mean man.

OT: Would it be rude to say there's not really any Forum Badges that I want? Because I nearly have them all? ^_^ ... heh.
We should have a badge trade system! But you could only trade certain badges and stuff. Would be pretty kewl. It may introduce a little drama into the forum though...

Just the Neo badge. Given my tendency of being polite to a fault, I figure it's only a matter of time. Unfortunately I don't post nearly as often as other folks around here, so it'll probably take me at least a few more years.

I dunno. I've got some fairly difficult ones already. Heck I even forgot I got the 10k views badge, just recently got the Neo badge (there's a special irony attached to that as well) and so many other badges... I just looked over my badge-list and I'm quite happy with its content.
I dunno. I kinda want to show love for my favorite badges though... Like my Murloc badge... I lub me some murlocs.

While I don't endeavor to "catch'em all" I heartily enjoy seeing everyone else clamor for them. It is like watching children getting into fistfights over Tamagotchis all over again.

(It isn't).

Well, remember, it's more than just being nice and stuff. You also gotta watch out for dat low content rule. I used to get nailed for that a lot...

Oh don't worry. Another tendency I have is treating forum posts like they're midterm essays. If anything, I'm probably too verbose most of the time.

Before the forum health meter was implemented, many posts consisted of a few sentences while still remaining poignant. If memory serves right, there have been many "One word story" forum games at one point. Just stay on topic; you'll do fine. You aren't being graded on your contributions.
