I looked for it but couldn't find it, so can someone explain what is needed for each new forum rank, like paperboy and gonzo, etc?

The more you post the more your rank increases. For example gone Gonzo requires 1000 posts, it's not really that hard, if you become addicted to this site, then you'll probably have it in a couple of months.

I think the ranks are.

Anonymous source
Paper boy
Copy Clerk
Beat Writter
Muckraker
Infamous Scribbler
Pulitzer Laureate
Gone Gonzo
On the record
Master Archivist
Wordsmith Extraordinaire
Nobel Laureate. (The highest rank I?ve seen so far I?m not sure if there is a level after that.)

And I don't know if anything is above Nobel Laureate.

8000-9999 = Master Archivist.
10,000-14,999 = Wordsmith Extraordinaire.
>15,000 = Nobel Laureate.

There might be more, but those are the ones we're aware of, for now.

Then there are the users with unique titles, like myself, Decoy Doctorpous, and Gigantor.

That's something I've always wondered, how do you manage to get a unique title? Do you need to do something especially unique for the community, or post a lot of articles, or something?

Ninja'd by everyone!

I'm a Wordsmith Extraordinaire, only one more title above that I believe.

In the case of Decoy, Gigantor, and myself, we all won review contests. As far is Jon Ethridge and Yahtzee, theirs is due to being video contributors. For Joe, we don't ask. He simply is.

Strange.

That is almost exactly how I ran my old forums. I only gave special titles to mods and admins, though (I have no idea what the requirements are here).

After you reach a certain amount of posts. Mine, Gone Gonzo, for example, is after you reach 1000.

The higher you rank up the longer it takes to rank up.
