I've seen a break of the fourth wall, but not quite in the same context as it is in your own situation. My own experience was with Star tropics 2, I forget exactly how the fourth wall was broken, I think it had something to do with the character turning to you and mentioning things that happened in the last game. It was enough to make me feel the whole game was lame. Which is a shame because the first one was so good. If I remember the details I'll edit them in here.

{Assassin's Creed when you meet Minerava and she basically tells Ezio to STFU cuz she wants to talk to Desmond but refers to him as you...thats like a breaking a fourth wall in a fourth wall}

Freakazoid does it ALL the time
Yeah hehe, gotta love it.

Also Earthworm Jim cartoon did. Most notably the episode where they keep running out of animation budget and he has to send checks to the studio.

A different one here.

I remember an old episode of the Fresh Prince of Bel-Air where Will and Uncle Phil were talking about money or something. Uncle Phil makes a point about how rich the Banks family are, then he leaves. Will looks directly at the camera and says "If we're so damn rich, how come we ain't got no ceiling". Cue the camera panning up to show studio lights and scaffolding.

I believe also there is an episode at the begining of one season where Jazz comes in and says something along the lines of "So who is playing the mother this time?"

I think they used to break the fourth wall in Pokemon all the time. They still might, I haven't watched it since they started the ruby and sapphire crap started.

Becides Deadpool & the Joker, there's this manga that absolutely no one but me has read called "Vampire Doll" that breaks the forth wall at least 4 times per volume by reminding a character that they already did something in a previous volume.
It's not just recaps...

(It's manga, so read right to left)
Mucho tanks. I wanted to slip in a panel, but I didn't want to have to browse through all 6 volumes to find one ^__^

MGS1 did this heaps, it was awesome.
It's on the back of the CD case XD
Well how was I supposed to know that?
Colonel tells you.

Oh. I killed him.

Monty Python and the Holy Grail, right at the end.

EDIT: Jak 3 when the priest girl says "This isn't a game!" and then Jak and Daxter look at you right in the face.
I laughed hard at that moment, but Jak & Daxter is balancing on the 4th wall a good deal of times. But the entire MGS series always have one point of crossing the 4th wall. Creeps me the fuck out xD

Jay and Silent Bob Strike Back had a few of those.
There were a few moments of characters staring at the screen whenever they mentioned something to do with a 'bad movie' or even hints towards Kevin Smith himself but more notably was when Matt Damon and Ben Affleck were on set of Good Will Hunting 2 and they mention at one point working on 'Dogma'.
This would imply that since Dogma was set in Kevin Smith's universe that either it was a movie set in Kevin Smith's universe or that the Universe itself were all movies and the Jay and Silent Bob movie was actually the real world to which they were based.....

But if that was the case then how did all those characters from past movies end up in... and if Dogma was just a movie and not part of the actual 'canon' aspect of Kevin Smith's movie universe then what were Jay and Silent Bob doing in it?
I will have to think about this.

Perfect picture there. My mind has officially been blown to asplosion levels after that confusing post, and you're talking to a guy who actually understands the entire Matrix series and the Joker's plot in The Dark Knight. I'm no stranger to love crazy shit, and yet you've managed to blow my mind in one go...

Congrats :D

This reminds of something, something to do with a racist caricature:

"But my first and foremost task is to protect the fourth wall. Great success. Without the fourth wall, man would become like the animal, animal would become like the rock, and the rock would become like the Jew."

cookie for whomever gets the reference.

Fourth Wall breakers add comic relief most of the time. Ferris Buehler's Day Off is an incredibly good example of it.
Hahahahaha, I watched that very episode just a few hours ago :D. It's Yu-Gi-Oh! The Abridged Series...

"Jagshemash, my name Shadi!"
Good job! Chenquieh! Here's your cookie:
