Looks like Fox news is at it again.

This is the first time i have to say fox news seems in the right. Which is a horrible thing to say as ive opposed them all the way back to ME1 "sexbox" scandal but honestly duke nukem is just making the world lose what little respect video games have clawed at for years now, this isnt the time to start releasing insensitive and over the top games, that should come when the video game industry is seen in a more mature and artistic light, much like films. After games have affirmed themselves as a genuine industry and not a toy system then we can release this kinda stuff.

If these are harmful depictions of women, why not ban women in video games entirely?! I mean, if portraying unrealistic woman in an unrealistic way in an unrealistic game is offensive to women, why don't we ban them entirely from not only being portrayed in games? Next, we'll ban any blood in video games! /sarcasm.

This is just plain fucking stupid. Fox is just fishing for controversy. And you know what? Like usual, it's going to send sales of the game through the fucking roof.

I can't wait to see how they handle L.A. Noire. I mean, one of the cases has you inspecting the naked body of a dead woman. I can imagine their reaction now:

"Detective videogame panders to perverts, necrophiliacs, serial killers"

You know, for a site opposed to gaming they sure are quick to give it publicity. Don't they realize it would be more effective not to draw publicity to it?

Hell, our old friend Mr. Thompson is a prime example. I'd have never known about this 'school shooter' mod for Half-life 2 if the Escapist didn't post the article about JT flipping his rocker over it.

They want the viewers to tune in and be appalled so they can sell advertising space. Its not about the material, rather its about attracting shocked and aggravated members to see it.

First time I really paid attention to reading a Fox News article.

I found it surprisingly tame. Sure it had the FoxNews slant to it, but it used facts in its skewing, which is more than I usually see particularly when I catch glimpses of their television reports.
