Wow this is depressing, Futurama was one of my favourite shows ever, seriously, and most of the time it was better than the simpsons, And now FOX saying they don't have enough money to pay them = Absolute Bull$H!T, FOX has ruined ANOTHER show, great work guys great work (sarcasm)

i think they might get paid more for canceling shows more than having good shows on

Ah, well. I'm sure we've all worked for bosses who would ruin a company just to prove that they were in charge...

I can only think of one time when a voice actor was replaced. It was the second/first season of family guy when meg was voiced by someone who wasn't mila kunis. Now i think she made that charactor her own and i bear no grudge against her for doing so. Family guy is quality, but my argument here is that u cud fucking tell that they had made the change. Surely in a show with no human acting the voice is the main bit yes???? A message to Fox, fucking pay these talented individuals their salaries because u do not want to lose the futurama audience which u will do if u fuck up their show. There. I said it.

Well.. I donno... I had this classmate last year that did a pretty good Fry's voice -- I closed my eyes and couldn't tell the difference. He said he wanted to try to audition for the show and be happy if they even paid him half of what Billy West was making. But its hard to make a judgment if we don't know the whole story -- how much are the actors asking for?

Its very true that good talent costs good money, but I think Fox focused on the bottom line, which is what they have been doing for a many years now so we should expect them to change anytime soon. Sure I think the show is going to be different, probably ruined, but what on and off show hasn't been ruined lately? The family guy voice change for meg being a great example above me.

I don't see how it won't... I mean do the voice actors write the script for the show? Don't the writers do that? I think its more important to make sure its still the same writers.
They've also cut back on the writing staff, so that's gone down the toilet as well. I'm not sure exactly which writers will remain, but you can bet the show will be worse for it.
Ahh, well then your right.

I'll still catch a few episodes and keep my fingers crossed that they don't destroy it too much...

Yeah already heard about this. Heard they wanted large amounts for each episode and they just wouldn't back down. £45k(into$) an episode I heard they wanted. Or was it $45k?

Well I guess I can see their money problem.

After all Simon Cowell demands like 1,2 billion dollars in yearly salary. So they need to save som serious cash...

Anyway, great news.

Agreed.
As Fox is the network responsible for Fox news, my natural response is to side with the actors.

there is no point bringing back a great show with nearly all of the main cast and hilarious supporting cast having new voice actors.

FOX is the most retarded tv network in the universe.

Everyone remember the Episode when they first introduced the Omicronians: When Aliens Attack? They attack, demanding to see the lost final episode of the 1999 TV show Single Female Lawyer(Fry had spilled beer on the T.V. broadcast console in 1999.) The Crew is forced to re-enact the episode in order to appease the Omicronians. Leela gets smart and decides to do some improv and changes the script for her character. This infuriates the Omicronians and they threaten to go on with the attack. Fry lectures Leela on how the average couch-potato doesn't like change, that change scares them. In the end, they go back to the original script, the Omicronians are satisfied with the unchanged script, and they leave without destroying Earth. Why the heck would Fox change the voices? Unless they find clones, there's a high chance that I won't like the new voices as much as the old ones.

futurama was a great show that fox let go, if they cant meet the demands for salary then screw em. Go to comedy central i bet they would pay more. Or even better, go to adult swim and please the fans who kept you afloat all these years, sure u would have to work for less considering the budgeting that adult swim has, but the fanbase would help increase popularity.
