Tomb Raider ... you gotta stop milking *no pun intended ... i think!* this one ... been around since god know when ...

Dynasty Warriors ... Just as GTA is getting released annually, this one has potential to stay on forever. It's a good game to de-stress yourself, so this can stay.

GTA ... As long as this series is pumped out annually, then Dynasty Warriors series should also have the potential to stay on. Same thing over and over, different graphics only. Stop with the groaning and moaning ... these 2 are built on the same logic and sell like hotcakes

C&C ... I think it will go haywire if they don't watch the storyline closely ... if not, i can imagine it being fresh even after they do part 999th with Kane still alive. Good job so far to keep things going!

James Bond ... The secret agent leagcy will end someday, but not yet. It will be a pity if it does!

Warcraft ... Stop WOW and get on with the actual Warcraft game!!!

Pokemon ... Gotta stop because the English alphabet can only make up that many words that end with '-mon'

Final Fantasy ... If not for Crisis Core, i would have voted it to END.

Gundam Series ... the series was clearly flushed to DEATH with SEED, SEED Destiny, SEED go f*ck yourself and now '00 and soon -'00 ... bloody hell ... long live the Classic 1 year war!

MARIO ... I'm pretty sure everyone can agree this has to END someday, somehow ....

Almost every game coming out today seems to be a remake or unnecessary sequels: DMC 4, MGS4, FFXIII, and alot of other games that have been around long enough to get their own ancryonms. It seems instead of putting money into original ideas, Nintendo, Sony, and Microsoft are too busy beating the crap out of each other. Sure, many of these games are still fun, but it'd be nice to see the developing companies to create something new and exciting then only what they know will make money.

Let's see...while I have been devising an awesome Sonic game that would completely rethink all the controls and potentially make it fun, I have to agree he's just gone too far.

Tomb Raider also seems to have lost most of its appeal. Lara now seems to just hate anyone she encounters. I don't know about you, but if I want to fantasize about sex with someone, I don't want them to shoot me afterwards. She's just unlikable.

Star Wars. Not because it's becoming bad entirely; it's nice that they're trying new things, but they did basically toss out all the well-loved games that they had made before in favor of beating a dead bantha. I mean, can you imagine the awe that would be incurred if the front page of GameTrailers.com suddenly showed "Grim Fandango 2 Teaser"?

Halo. You know that whole after-credits thing could have been summed up in Cortana's line "So you up for another contract? It's like another 15 million, guaranteed."

UT. I love it too! I love the engine, the mods, UT04's insane guns, but UT3 showed us they really don't have anything new to offer. I'd be fine if they kept trying to come up with stuff like Gears of War.

Nope, not gonna happen [http://ahcs.bungie.org/comics/8/].

Actually, I'd be perfectly happy if the Halo series ended at 3; no need to see it flogged until it's a thin smear on the pavement. (Okay, I actually do want to see Halo Wars and Chronicles, but that's the story-freak in me. Besides, they're entirely different as games and not FPSes riding on the series' coat-tails.)

I was going to come up with this large retort to those who think that WoW does need to be killed but I agree that it should. however not because wows an mmo and is repetitive and all that twaddle but mainly because of one simple thing.

They've screwed the fans over who have followed them since Warcraft began with major fuck ups in the lore and killing off all the major characters from warcraft left right and bloody centre.
(and no - I'm not talking about Illidan. He died already. He died at the end of The Frozen throne)

In a manner of speaking they've sold warcraft out. no chance of redemption or anything like that. its gone.

This sims ( & by extention sims2) despite the cunningly evil expansion pack scam, is one of the greatest games ill never admit to how much I love. Good, if evil, franchise that should stay.

I quite liked Dynesty warriors 4: Empires, never played another DW game though & doubt the experience is any different.

I dunno if theres any plans to continue the Stronghold franchise, but I hope not. Stronghold 2 was an ugly disaster compared to the origional (I thought so neway)

Europa Universalis. Paradox Interactive have released so many of their tabletopesque stragegy games that I frankly wish theyd stop. EUIII wasnt bad, I just felt like EUI(& II) with a rather ugly 3D graphics engine that required far higher specs than it really should have.

Franchise Id wish would come back: Gangsters. Am I the only one who thought gangsters 2, for all its shortcomings, was still a pretty damn good game? Gangland just doesnt suffice as a sequal of sorts, I want more 1930s bootleg gangstarism \o/
