It would be nice for them to shed some light on more obscure or older IPs. For example:

Beetlejuice

The game could focus on a newly dead person or people (say, a family that dies all at once from a carbon monoxide leak or something) and their orientation on The Other Side and subsequent haunting of their old house. Will they co-exist with the new family, or try to frighten them off? Will they resist Beetlejuice's influence on them, or will they let him kill the newcomers? It's not like Michael Keaton wouldn't sign on for something like this either, if he's willing to do the sequel.

Shadowrun

I know we got a new RPG recently, but Shadowrun's lore is so rich and varied, Telltale could run with it in any direction they wanted. So much attention is given to Shadowrunners in most Shadowrun properties, that it would be interesting to play the game as a Fixer, setting up runs, being the go-between for the corporations and the mercs, and possibly getting double and triple crossed many times over.

The Boys

A Garth Ennis comic about a team of government sanctioned agents who police superheros who overstep their bounds. It's dark, funny, tongue-in-cheek, deliberately offensive at times, and perfect for the Telltale treatment. Playing as a new agent on the team, being thrust into the madhouse world of not-so-hero-ish superheroes and deciding what kind of justice is to be dealt to them would be fun as hell.

I'll just rattle off a few more without the write ups:
- Dark Crystal
- Gangs of New York
- Zardoz
- Planet of the Apes
- The Codex Alera
- Blade Runner

I can't believe it hasn't been mentioned yet, but I would love to see a Firefly one from Telltale. I think they could do some great things with it.

This one definitely sounds a little out there, but the "Syndicate" series.

Instead of focusing on the Agents and the large-scale Corporate warfare, I think it'd be cool to play as, say, a Detective who works for one of the Mega-Corporation's private police forces. This would give you a cool and interesting perspective into the Syndicate universe, in which Corporations have literally replaced Governments. The games hinted a little bit at this but never went into particularly huge depth about how the world functions now, and it's something that would be really cool to explore in an adventure type game.

Likewise, there are so many potential plotlines. Maybe you are heading up a murder investigation. Is it an attack by another Syndicate? Maybe your suspect is a high-up Executive and now you have to deal with the potential consequences of accusing an "untouchable". Maybe it's a big conspiracy theory. There's tons of great story potential.

None. I've never played a Telltale game that I could withstand for more than 20 minutes. Granted I've only played Back to the Future and The Walking Dead, but the writing was just so zooking terrible.

Try The Wolf Among Us, it's not the best thing ever but it's pretty good, though the writing is spotty at times, the first episode is free though so it can't hurt to try, also the first episode of Walking Dead Season 1 is the worst episode in the first season, however I don't think you should bother with it if you didn't like it, besides that Borderlands is pretty good, everything else is not really good to be honest, I mean if you thought TWD S1 was bad you better not look at S2 and stay the hell away from Game of Thrones.

That being said Puzzle Agent is fantastic, play that, easily Telltale's Magnum Opus, though it's nothing like their other games, it's more similar to the Professor Layton games than anything else, good stuff, they should do more stuff like that.

Big, narrative driven games or shows are too easy.

How about Civilization, the Wrath of Gandhi?

Crusader Kings II would be a natural, a family dynasty story like I Claudius.

Or maybe Mario Kart, done like the old Grand Prix movie with James Garner or like a Mad Max story.

Or the My Career mode in the NBA2k series.

Star Trek comes to mind, mainly because of the number of interesting hypothetical situation it could insert you into.

Alien Tribesman: "The Gods have spoken. We have angered them and now we must all perish. The volcano will erupt soon and it is not our place to fight it."

James Bond.

I actually feel like that is the only thing that can revive that franchise at this point. A big part of 007 is the personality of the characters/villains and using gadgets to solve puzzles. Also they've shown they can make small actions scenes work with their gameplay style. But honestly, I don't have a lot of faith in them.

I loved TWD S1, S2 was just ok. Jurassic Park was awful, Back to the Future was awful, The Wolf Among Us started off great and shit the bed after episode 3. From what I've heard, the Game of Thrones isn't great either. I really only feel like they've hit a home-run once, and everything else spans from "shit" to "meh". Not only that, but the overall formula and "choices" that don't really have any impact on how the story progresses have really started to wear thin.

Any series where choice has already been played up as a big part of the series would work, so any of Bethesda, Bioware, or Obsidian's games could work. Ooh, a Shadowrun themed one would be pretty damn cool. But thinking of less obvious ones...

Metal Gear Solid would probably be a good one, whether it's a retelling of the current games or a spin-off story based on a character's life that doesn't have lots of detail, like The Boss or maybe even Gray Fox's life up until he met Big Boss.

As strange as it might sound, the Souls series could also be a good one, it obviously wouldn't have the abstract storytelling the series is known for, but it could still be an interesting look on the downfall of a fantasy society and how people are trying to survive it, So, I guess what I'm thinking of would be The Walking Dead but with a gothic horror aesthetic? Anyways, that series has enough...openness to it that there's room for lots of stories to take place in it.
