For those who don't know, tweens are essentially, preteens and young adolescents ages 11-14 (basically middle school kids going through puberty) They're not really children anymore, but they don't have all the issues older adolescents face yet like drugs or partying. Contrary to belief, the tween audience isn't limited to the really bad live action shows pumped out by Nick & Disney. Cartoons like Adventure Time and Regular Show are aimed at tweens, Most anime and manga are aimed at tweens in japan, and Toonami back in when it was on Cartoon Network was aimed at tweens with the midnight run and eventual move to saturday prime time aimed at older teens.

So in terms of video games, what franchises would you consider tween games? Well, since MTV had a huge tween and teen following back in it's prime, Sega targeted tween and teen boys in a clever way with the Genisis. Several Nintendo games like Smash Bros., Kid Icarus, Zelda, and F-Zero I would consider tween games. And I'd even argue that most Tales of RPGs and most JRPGs in general are tween games.

Free to play games with large audiences like TF2 and Osu! and the like. All those games their parents haven't paid for but have vast communities they can convince themselves they are a part of.

The sims. Well, tweens and maybe younger women. That's the only types of people I can see playing the sims without at least chuckling about how out of place it looks
