Easy enough- what would you say you have grown up with?

For me, it's probably been Splinter Cell. The first was one of my first Xbox games, and I have bought all of the console games since then. I still own the original and Chaos Theory and play them regularly.

I...honestly haven't stuck with a franchise so long that I'd say I "grew up" with it.

Stuff like Mario I played when I was a kid, but I never had a N64 so I lost touch with all those Nintendo franchises.

I guess the franchise that I still play that I started earliest on is probably the Civilization franchise. I started with Civ 2 and I still play Civ 5 from time to time. But there have been gaps of years where I didn't play any Civ games.

Oddworld...I fondly remember it.

I remember getting the first PS and some games from my cousin. There were Final Fantasy VII and VIII, some football (or soccer, for you Americans) game...and a game that said "Oddworld - Abe's Exoddus" and was showing some strange, kinda creepy green guy holding a bottle. I remember the rating for the game was "12" (German rating systems) and I was just...8 or something, so I didn't play it, but I looked at the manual and was fascinated by the creatures and the story described there. I would go to bed with that manual, just to read it before going to sleep. Then one day, I came home and my younger sister was playing this game. So I thought "F*ck it" and started playing. I loved it. Later I stumbled upon the first game and even though it was good, nothing beats AE for me. To this day, it's my favorite game of all time.

Pokemon. Played it when I was young and still enjoy the games now :p

Sonic and Metroid too though I haven't exactly played really any of their more recent offerings.

Pokemon as a kid I never really liked FPS,s but the first game I played religiously was Pokemon Crystal in the early 2000,s
I,m pretty sure I own/owned at least one game of each generation (except for B/W)

Legend of Zelda series, did my best to play all the titles when possible as a youngin. Loved em to bits. Super Mario Brothers was a close second.

I can't quite remember if I played the original Legend of Zelda, but I know for sure that I've played every portable Zelda title through the years.
I definitely remember a lot of Super Mario Bros. at the very edge of my memories, but unfortunately I didn't have an N64, so I missed out on that generation. Come to think of it, I haven't been really that into Mario after the SNES, except for the Mario&Luigi RPG games.
Pokemon. Oh, ye gods, Pokemon. No, I didn't play any of the "spin-off" games, except for Pokemon Coliseum, but I have played at least one version from every generation of the main series.
Warcraft, kinda. I definitely remember playing the first one and some of the second one when they were new. For the life of me, I can't remember why I didn't finish it. A couple years ago I picked up the Warcraft III battlechest and played that a LOT.

Lets see here...

Spyro
Oddworld
Banjo Kazooie
Pokemon
Sonic Adventure
Sly Cooper
Crash Bandicoot (even though I've only beaten 2)
The Legend of Zelda Nintendo 64 games

In terms of games, I believed I had a very rich childhood.

Pokemon and Mortal Kombat.

One about adorable animals fighting each other for glory and the other about people killing each other for...something....I will go with glory.

I still play the hell out of Pokemon, my age be damned!

Zork. I had those when I was a kid.

There aren't many lasting franchises from when I was a lad bar PacMan and Space Invaders.

Warcraft, still remember having to load floppydisks to load the game. Played it endlessly.
