Thief:The dark project and Thief 2: The Metal Age, i'll defend as long as but a spark of life remains in my body, (and prolly after as well).

I'll put up in a decent fist fight to defend Thief 3 but that's it.

defending a franchise is worthless... any REAL fan knows when a good thing has to end... i loved every single episode of 24... played the game... read all the books... everything... but im glad it ended because all good things must end

Hmm, I would say Final Fantasy, but I am very aware of it's flaws. Series, huh? Monkey Island is another one. The Team Ico series thing (not a direct series but kind of), I guess if you count the two No More Heroes games as a series then those as well.

Halo and Final Fantasy.

Just by saying those I'm going to get alot of "Why those are overrated P.O.S.s" and I'm willing to respond. :p
dude, i'm right there with you. i've been a super fan boy of both since i first started playing them (ff in 2000, halo whenever it came out). but i'm throwing metal gear solid in there too.

Mass Effect may have been one of the best games I have played but ME2 was actually quite shit in comparrison.
Agreed, but you have to give them credit for taking it in a new direction. What they did, they did well. I will always prefer the more bigger, more complex style of ME1, but ME2 is a good game if you take it for what it is.

I would have put MGS in there too but I haven't played the first one or beat the second (got like halfway through). I wish I didn't sell my PSP or I would so buy Peacewalker in a heartbeat.

So what about you? ( Also, don't take the thread to seriously...)
As you wish.

OT: Golden Sun. The first two games were the greatest RPG's I have ever played (except FFX, but the gameplay isn't similar enough to draw too many relevant comparisons). I can just imagine how orgasmifying they would have been with PS3 graphics ... well actually I can't, because I imagine they would be such great games that they would be beyond my imagination.
Pretty much this.

Minus this because I've never played FFX (Okay, once, for like 5 minutes).

Golden Sun isn't just the best RPG I've ever played, it's the best game I've ever played. It's solid in every way. The sequel sadly lacked some of what made the first game great but it still sits proudly next to it's older sibling in terms of my favorite RPGs. Now I can only hope Golden Sun: Dark Dawn is as good as the first two (or better, if that's possible).

*Tries to imagine Golden Sun with PS3 graphics*Oh my go-*Head explodes*

Call of Duty

Just because I enjoy the challenge.
Hah, Couldnt have said it better myself. My God that game is lucky it has a fun core multiplayer. But that might not matter for even I will stop defending it if Kotick tries to lay a subscription fee on us.
