Fred: why hate him

For all the people who have no clue, Fred was a character created on youtube by a person named Lucas something, and his reviews based on him playing a 6 year old with a squeaky voice, which most of the videos hover around randomness, such as putting lipstick and cabbages together. I hate him because his fan base is bigger then it should be, and that he is not funny, at all. I can watch dane cook and laugh more then Fred, and I hate dane cook.

If all your friends were smoking pot nonstop would you not care? If someone you know is doing something that really shouldn't be accepted in society then you should voice your opinion.

I didn't know who he was until I saw him on some show on TV, and I don't see why it is so funny... he says some stupid things and speeds it up...

I don't like Fred for the sheer reason that he's not "real". He's not a snarky blogger who makes witty comments about the news. He's not a comedy sketcher with a cult following. He's not a very passionate Belgian World of Warcraft player with a funny accent. He's not a twelve year old who makes Naruto Amv's to Linkin Park. He's not a crazed conspiracy theorist who makes scary videos of still images. He's not the sciency british guy who calls the conspiracy theorist crazy. He's not the guy who makes playthroughs of video games with a voiceover. And he's not the nameless youtuber who hasn't made a singer video but has watched more videos than anyone ever should.

To me, he never really deserved that number 1 subscriber spot.

Before this thread I had never heard of him and not wanting to add to the sheer number of 'who's Fred' I watched one of his videos. In conclusion to the video I watched I agree with you. It really makes you wonder what is wrong with people when they actually decide to subscribe to such...irritating shows. The popularity of Fred's videos and two and a half men are something I'll never understand.

Are you aware of the LP-ing scene? ("Let's Play") Pretty much a community of gamers who record footage, with commentary, and post it up. I would reccomend 'OverTheGun' and his 'HTSF' (How To Succesfully Fail). http://www.youtube.com/overthegun A fair ton of games narrated by the friendly, but often irate and passionately determined tones of a Yorkshire gamer.
(Some of the more challenging conquests of his are IWannaBeTheGuy, Metal Storm, IWannaBeTheFanGuy, and a generally wide spread across genres.)
Tends to be a FPS fan mostly, also an admirer of Survival Horror (although it seems quite (un-)dead now, and really plays evenly in most genres.
There are MANY LPers, something for everyone.
