Maple Story is an interesting 2D free mmorpg. Don't know if you'll like it since it's not in 3D but give it a shot if you're curious. It's pretty fun.

You will be mesmerized. Then a grind sets in. bad Nexon! bad! That said I've played it it's a ton of fun up to that point, and it was ign's free mmo of the year. It's quality stuff man. Go pick it up and just play it for as long as it holds your fancy. Costs nothing to do so.

Other than Runescape, what are the best free mmorpgs? I guess that includes those with decent free trials. I'm looking for something similar to Runescape, just not it!

Their advertising campaign REALLY dropped the ball because I don't think I knew it was free.

Edit: I started playing. It's very pretty, and the silliness about adventuring naked seems a non-issue because you wear quite a bit while naked. (Yes, I do that in MMO's. I don't RP sex or anything...)
