Trickster Online
Can't really think of any other good ones that i've recently tried.

Edit: When I say good, I mean playable. Trickster has a lot of grinding when you get to a high level.

Mabinogi, but that's a creepy sddictive world full of spam bots.

Maplestory, but everyone hates it and you charge you money to get crappy looking armor.

Perfect World, but I'm too bored to start it up. Hmm, I guess I'll go do that now.

I have to agree with Runescape. It's the best free MMO out there, although it's not very good. Are there free WoW servers?

if you want world of warcraft i play a private server at wocserver.org and you can download the game its self and every thing you need for free

Completely free: out of luck.

Costs money but no monthly fee: Guild Wars, pretty awesome game. People who say otherwise (like me) have usually already played a few thousand hours and gotten bored.
