Another thing people don't realize is "Freedom of Speech" only exists within America, yet the internet is NOT America.
Are you fucking kidding me? America is the only country in the world that has freedom of speech? Riiiight...

I also don't agree with the idea that there is no such thing as "freedom of speech". The fact that it is usually limited in practice by other principles (safety, privacy, etc.) does not mean that it cannot exist as an idea.

I personally think that speech should be free enough that it allows you to insult people. People who feel insulted when someone calls the fairy tales they believe in "fairy tales" should just learn to live with it.

I do agree that freedom of speech doesn't necessarily apply in private settings.
WTF are you talking about, mate? By referring to "Freedom of Speech," I mean the one people usually get all up in arms about: the American one. I did not say FoS did not exist in other countries, but last I checked the only culture that consistently complains about their freedom to express their ideas are Americans.

Besides, REGARDLESS of what I meant, my point is still valid. Whatever variation of FoS your country upholds still has ZERO influence over the regulation of speech over the internet.

Stop reading statements so literally and focus more on the idea being expressed.

You need to stop focusing only on your own country. There are a ton of countries that have (a kind of) freedom of speech, and there is bickering everywhere about where the boundaries of that freedom should lie. You are right when you say that the internet is not America, so maybe you should stop assuming that it is.

My political correctness is not the subject of this topic, nor has anyone else been bothered by my statement other than you. It is burdensome and impractical to consistently speak in a manner non-specific to my American culture when posting on a website that is based in America and has a majority American viewing and participation.

If you are participating in an general, non-region-specific American forum and you are not American, you are in the minority. Get used to it. I would expect no different treatment if I decided to run my mouth on some British-based forum.

Now, to get BACK ON TOPIC, regardless of how politically incorrect I may have been, my point, as I stated earlier, is still perfectly compatible and valid with the Original Poster's topic question, which is that whatever flavor of Freedom of Speech you may be referring to, it still has no influence over your ability to speak freely (or censor) anything posted on the internet, as the internet does not belong to any one country or its set of laws.

It was nice to see that my topic made purely out of "Good will" turned in to ravaging battleground where we witnessed a clash of cultural relativism.
This reminds me why I rarely talk about subjects like these... Thanks guys...
