What it says on the title. How do you eat your french fries, Escapists? :D

I usually put salt and pepper on mine or just drench them in ranch dressing! So good! :D

I make American style, don't-have-all-the-ingredients poutine. BBQ sauce, hot sauce, ketchup, pepper salt all of this makes the 'gravy'. We don't have cheese curds in my house so I substitute them with nothing.

....It's....it's actually no poutine at all. I just like the name.

Put salt on fries, put fries in mouth, chew. If I'm eating really awful fries I might dump them in ketchup to try to convince myself I'm actually enjoying them.

Yes, quite.

Only the best for the discerning fry-eater.

None of that lowly ketchup or *scoff* ranch dressing. As if I could stomach the thought!

[sub][sub]I am, of course, joking to all of the people who like ranch with their fries.[/sub][/sub]

For serious, I generally eat them with whatever is on hand. I don't like them drowning in salt (McDonald's), I don't like them soggy in gravy (poutine; though I imagine a true master could get them to remain crispy/crunchy even in the gravy), though I do like them covered in melted cheese.

Otherwise, I'll typically eat them with ketchup. Occasionally barbeque sauce, or certainly honey mustard if I have the option, but I'm not all that picky about it.

Seriously though, I've never understood ranch dressing as a dipping sauce...

Sometimes with a ketchup, depending on how good they are--never too much though, ketchup has a way of ruining things.
If they're from In N Out, I might put some extra salt on them.
If I'm at Sushi BBQ place, I'll use chopsticks.

Depends. I may put something like Texas Pete or Frank's Hot Sauce over them, but I am also very fond of dipping them in honey mustard. Cheese fries are also good.

The rare times I have french fries, I like to have gravy on them. It's really quite good. A nice little treat when I am feeling indulgent.

Straight up, most times. When that fails, I'm boring and just use ketchup on them.

Depends. If the fries are thin and crispy, just salt and maybe a little pepper. If they're chunky and have lots of fluffy potato in the middle, much more salt and pepper, and dunk them in some mayonnaise. I'm not really a fan of ketchup. Too weirdly sweet on fried potato for me.

I do the same thing. Let's be boring together!

...

I'll just leave...
I'm more boring than boring. I just put some salt on them. By the way that's something from Disgaea in your avatar, right?

So what ? No one say mayonaise yet? So mayonaise . JUST MAYO . No ketchup , no salt , just MAYO .

Also i like poutines ( i live in Quebec , so every restorant sells those ) but i don't consider those french fries . They are premature heart attacks .

The obvious answer is "ketchup".

Other things that go well with them: pickles, (some types of) cheese, chicken, cabbage, mustard, hot or tomatoey sauces.

For the record, I don't eat them because I prefer my heart functioning but friends and relatives often ask for a massive, greasy pan of french fries. Often with even greasier pork. Urgh.
