I envy you guys. I rarely remember my dreams. :(
I don't think you do. I'd rather not remember my dreams than remember the terrifying ones.

I haven't had a nightmare in like fifteen years. I am able to recall my dreams for a few minutes after waking up, though most of it (the dull stuff) is forgotten fairly quickly. So I'm quite sure about not having nightmares.

There are tons of shit in my subconcious that could produce some delicious bad dreams, but they never get the upper hand. Although most of my dreams are not lucid, I always feel... in control? That's probably the right description. Everytime something threatens me, I also have some means to defeat it at my disposal.

Kind of. Then again kind of not. In that I have this girl I keep meeting in my dreams. Sometimes she looks different but I can always tell it's the same girl. She's basically perfect and the dreams themselves are some of the best things I have ever experienced but whenever I wake up from them I get really pissed and am generally in a bad mood for a few days due to the fact I know that it wasn't real, she doesn't exist and I'll probably never be that happy in real life.
Not sure if that counts as a bad dream though. I suppose it's actually the waking up that's the bad part.

I once had a nightmare where my school was filled with Cannibals. Kind of like in "Tree House of Horror 6" from The Simpsons, but the students were cannibals as well. I escaped after running through dark, pipe filled halls (Which isn't real of my School I can assure you). I was running towards the police station (Which is pretty close in real life but was further in the dream), but then everything went back to normal at the school while I was in between the buildings. Then I basically woke up when I started complaining to other students who had no Idea what I was talking about.

Another Nightmare was I married this nice girl, but on our "Honeymoon" it turns out that she's really just some green gloop who wanted to eat me. After jumping out the window, I woke up into another nightmare where I was awake but my eyes wouldn't open. I kept tugging at my eye lids and they started to open up somewhat, not painfully or gruesomely or anything, but then I really woke up.

I don't have reoccurring Nightmares though, besides the falling kind which aren't scary. I once suffered Dream Paralysis for a couple of seconds or a minute before snapping out of it, though I don't remember to what dream (Certainly wasn't a Lucid one). Also, sometimes Dreams replay to make themselves clear, and the ones I do remember are some kind of Movies or TV shows, but I don't remember what they were, and I don't remember any of their details. They weren't real.

I don't have nightmares, but I do have some recurring dream themes. The one that come sup most is that I am in a school and I don't know where my next class is. I am usually in high school (despite graduating about 5 years ago and knowing I was supposed to have been out of school already) and I just end up wandering around hoping to find my schedule or someone to tell me where to go.

I do get these weird recurring sensations sometimes, but not while I'm asleep so they're not really dreams. They usually happen when I'm really tired but I can't sleep. Sometimes just before I fall asleep too. They are pretty weird and quite hard to explain but I'll try...

My depth perception goes insane. I feel like the world is drawing away from me to a vast empty expanse, but also rushing towards me at the same time. Kind of like I'm falling forward instead of down. And I get these weird hallucinations which never manifest themselves in any kind of recognisable shapes or figures, but are always monochrome. Usually I see a huge empty featureless landscape which is totally flat, and I get the feeling that everything is completely smooth and there is no friction or grip on anything. Sometimes I see these strange strobing angular shapes and lines which fill my entire vision, yet I still get the sensation that I'm moving through some sort of plane. They move and change extremely fast, almost faster than comprehension, and it makes me feel like time has sped up to a similar speed. They feel kind of threatening in some way. And other times I get visions of my entire surroundings being like some kind of enclosed space lined with infinitely complicated structures that look like some kind of smooth coral of some sort. They give me a similar feeling to the flat plane in that they are perfectly smooth, but also a feeling similar to the shapes because I feel threatened that they are closing in on me.

So yeah, work that one out. I sure can't.

I used to get many dreams where I'd get killed a beaten up when I was younger up and till about 3 years ago. I was a bullied a lot so back then it was on my mind a lot. I remember one day at work I just decided to sit down on the stairs and in my head forgive myself for being a weak, pathetic excuse for a human being and not defending myself in the same I would do now, and I forgave those who bullied me (begrudgingly, mind you).

After that it just kinda stopped. I still have some really fucked up dreams though including recurring dreams and dreams that utilise things/experiences from other dreams but nothing nearly as bad as what it used to have.
So my only advice is tp just have a think about what could be affecting you and try and seek a solution, or rather figure out why it is affecting you and try to do something to remedy it.

Sorry I can't be more specific than that. :(

A few months ago, when I was sleeping 15 hours a day, I would have vivid nightmares every night. They often were of me committing suicide or dying, though I had a few of my family members killing themselves, I still remember clearly the dream of my dad shooting himself in the head. I had a weird dream where I woke up and there was a bag of cocaine on my desk, which I promptly overdosed on and died, then I woke up. A lot of these dreams were really scary and gory, some had me being tortured or I would wake up just before or after hitting the ground below a structure I fell off.

It was pretty clear to me that they were caused by depression though. If you're depressed maybe that's the reason you've been having nightmares, it's a common cause.

I had two recurring dreams, but they stopped a few years ago.
The Nightmare was me running from something on the upper floor of my house, and then jumping when I got to the staircase.

The good dream was me finding something valuable but then immediately waking up but with the thought in my head that I still had that valuable item on my person

I once dreamed I was queen of the Panda people and I married a Giant panda.... that was weird!
But no usually if I have a bad dream they don't stick with me unless I have to get violent in them and pray within the dream. Then I know bad thing's are a coming in real life. I have a 2 for 2 track record of it.

My dreams tend to involve something or other trying to kill me, sometimes they get pretty close too.

I tend to get this one every so often. It is always in at the end of a dream that has nothing to do with anything else. I'm walking into my house and a big dog just runs up behind me and bites me right in the leg. Last time I had this dream I guess I killed it though, haven't had that dream since. The weird thing to me is that I killed something in my dream then it never came back again.

My subconscious trolls me when I sleep. My dreams are always just realistic enough that they seem real at the time, but when I wake up and realise they aren't I get depressed.

While not exactly a BAD dream, there is one thing I always find very odd. Whenever there is a mall in my dreams...it's always the same mall.

It's a large circular mall with a monorail that goes around the outside. It has many sleek metal spiral staircases connecting the two floors, has a jungle themed food court, and it has a three story book store on the roof that the inside looks like an old library (everything is polished wood and very fancy)

No matter what dream me needs, a new movie, some book shopping, an orange julius, it's always the same mall. Sometimes new stores get added depending on what the dream is, but it's always the same mall.

I almost believe that if I ever find this mall in real life I will die.

Oh man, my dreams are so wierd. They're just so utterly random. Though I'm seeing a couple of reoccuring things in them, including: nakedness or wearing very few clothes (although I hear a lot of people get that), suddenly being alone (e.g. I'm with a bunch of friends and then they're all suddenly gone, and I spend most of the dream trying to find them), being unable to fight back against an enemy (e.g. I'm a soldier, there's an enemy in front of me and the most I can do with my gun is shout pew-pew-pew) and being some sort of hero or adventurer (I had one recently where me and a bunch of other people were taking the One Ring up the slopes of Mount Doom).

There are probably more reoccuring things in my dreams, but you only remember a dream if you wake up during one and even then you remember very little, which then fades quickly, so y'know. Its also worth mentioning that the examples I gave are very broad, as the context is always wildy different.

However, I haven't had a dream that I could class as a nightmare in quite a while. Although I haven't really had an all good dream for a while either. They're just too wierd to classify o_O

God frigging damn I envy you. In my dreams, my guns never work, my fists and feet never connect or move like they're in slow motion, and any sort of control I ever seem to have quickly turns out to be an illusion. Although, in my dreams I never seem to die or get injured. Or physically hurt at all come to think of it.

Like I said, wierd o_O
