This evening I was reflecting on my experiences with meeting other gamers on the PlayStation®Network, both good and bad. While I have met a few real losers, I have also been fortunate enough to meet a few people who I have really connected with and enjoyed gaming and chat sessions together. Given the strong online components of both the PS3 and the Xbox 360, and the relatively recent rise of online social networking, I was wondering what other's experiences have been with meeting and connecting with other gamers via PSN and XBL.

I myself out of the 29 friends currently only play and talk with 9. One of the 9 though I have become really good friends with and have talked with him using voice chat almost as if it was a phone call multiple times.

I have roughly 1 good friend on live that I talk with just about every day for a good few years now. Kind of sucks he's a /b/tard, but I work around that...

I haven't met anyone on live because I don't want to play on live with people. Did meet a guy via steam and TF2 though. Chat a little from time to time.

People online aren't real people to me.

The only person I, erm... Communicate with on an average is on Xbox Live. He's one of those guys who makes jokes involving your mum, a lot. I do my best to avoid him, but if I recieve an invite I decide to humor him.

Other than that, I don't talk to any of them really.

I have under 20 on X-box Live (I clean out my firends list a lot). Only a quarter of these I talk to regurlarly and I wouldn't call any of them a good friend.

I also have met many knobs on live. Though I have made a few friendships through the years. Looking past the piles of grown up cum that have mics, Live and PSN are good communities to meet people.
