Alright here goes.
Your friends on the escapist, the ones you have added. A few questions about them.
Do you have many added friends here on the escapist?
The friends you have added, are they people you know in real life or someone you just met here?
What made you add some of these on people, a good conversation, they're good looking avatar, they're from the same country as you, similar interests?
Have you added most or have you been added?

To answer my own Topic:
I only have a few friends added, 2 of them I know in real life and the others (I think 3) are also Finnish and 1 I had a really interesting discussion with.
Mostly I added these people and they accepted.

I'm having a bit of trouble understanding this adding thing on the escapist because for me it hasn't had any meaning. I never go check they're sites and were they've been writing or posting.
And my contact is pretty much nill, zero, 0 with them.

So what is your view on adding friends on the escapist? (this is the last question)

I don't have any friends on The Escapist. All my friends are off it. I just come here to view content and post random replies in forums to eat up time when I should be working!

I usually only add people if they either add me first or I talk to them often enough to add them myself. I so far have added about 52 Friends (I think i havent counted) and some of the friends I made here are some of the best people I've ever met.

I like that you can add friends on the escapist and I do it often enough that I have added around 50 friends.

Most of my friends are people that I've found making intelligent arguments and respected them for it. Some even challenged me, though in a respectful and honest manner. Once we came to an understanding, it was a time to hit that 'Add Friend' button.

Shame we don't see this much anymore.

I really don't add friends unless they add me, with maybe 1 or 2 exceptions, and even then only if I think they're good people.

I'm too old for the concept of Internet friendship. It's not that i find it stupid or lacking any purpose, simply i'm old fashioned and expect from my "friends" things that can't be done over long distances.

I add people who have similar interests/views to me, or I want to get back to later on something! Also anyone who is British I tend to jump on, or anyone in the military!

I have seven friends on the escapist.

Dectomax because he's a Royal Marine, which I am training to be.
Bulldogftw because we had a brief conversation which was fun.
DarthAchaerron because he composed some music for a project a friend of mine unfortunately bailed on.
Vaiderraider for some conversation a while ago.
Patrick_and_the_ricks as he friended me after taking a liking to my avatar.
Last, but certainly not least, Caramel Frappe because he's awesome. First started talking to him because he thought I posed very intelligent arguments, etc.

Unfortunately, I've never physically met any of these people.

Hmmm...

Do you have many added friends here on the escapist?

More than fifty, according to my badge.

The friends you have added, are they people you know in real life or someone you just met here?

All I've met here.

What made you add some of these on people, a good conversation, they're good looking avatar, they're from the same country as you, similar interests?

Similar interests, for the most part. Maybe, I dunno, 70% of the people I added I first met on the pony group.

Have you added most or have you been added?

It's equal I'd say.

I generally only add people who add me. I'd assume they did so because I'm interesting. Or something.

Anyway, yeah. New people equals cool.

I have a few. 25 or so I think.

Only one of them is a person I know irl, but he rarely visits this site anymore.

What made you add some of these on people, a good conversation, they're good looking avatar, they're from the same country as you, similar interests?
Mostly their personality and interests is what leads me to wanting to be friends.

Have you added most or have you been added?
Most have added me because I feel awkward sending friend requests out to people I barely know for some reason, but I'll accept any (unless I hate you).

I've got two friends on here:

One is from a an online game called SimRTK (Or maybe it was HoC) which while flawed was an awesome online experience. I'm not sure where the other one came from, either the same place or it was just a random request after one or two conversations on these forums. I don't really remember.

I don't talk to either of them.

I have a few friends, none that I know IRL though - they're all just fellow members of the Bethesda forums (mostly the ones who hang out on Community Discussion though).

It's actually pretty awesome, because I'm friends with one of the mods from over there and could swear at him to my hearts delight and not be banned, but I don't because he's a pretty awesome guy.

No friends.
I know no one (as far as I know) on this forum.
I just come here to read and to expose all of you to the words that I vomit up all over the place.
