From a scale of 1 to 10, how is my top ten games of all time?

I give it a 5. I strongly disagree with about every choice there. Limbo and Ocarina of Time deserved their places, but everything else...I dunno. Where is Chrono Trigger? Red Dead Redemption? Mass Effect 2?


You should play more games before you make an "of all time" list.

I mean seriously, no Deus Ex, Half Life 2, Bioshock, etc? You have got to be kidding. Halo's a good FPS and Alan Wake was original, but top 10 material? No way.

Honestly HL2 is good but so overrated. Its gameplay was boring, enviroments were bland in color, and it felt, slow at many times.

At least Halo has way more color, more fun weapons (HL2 weapons, only some where actually fun, most were just boring and unamaginative) and faster gameplay.

Also Gordan Freeman is like imo one of the worst characters ever.

But of course thats my opinion.

I would give the list a 9. Since I played most.

I actually agree with you on HL2. But it was the revolution that created in-game set pieces, or at least made it mainstream. And that's pretty important.

Though Halo, while good, still isn't better just because it's a twitch-based console-centric game. It's flashy because it wants attention.

You get a 3. The Zelda inclusions are valid. Halo, less so.

And I don't see a single mention of Deus Ex or Thief. Were it not for Zelda, you would instantly get a 0 for that oversight.

I would give it a 7. That's about how many of those choices I agreed with, so it seems reasonable. My order would be slightly varied, and the only one that REALLY made me say WTF?! was Alan Wake. I just found the story bland and uninspiring. For a game that was built directly for the story, I thought it fell flat. The combat was more interesting to me.

Interesting, though. Some of these are unexpected, but justifiable in their own right.

Comparing it to a list of my own, you get zero. I don't think I've even played any of the games on that list, except for mucking about on Halo 2 with my cousin.

God awful story built around painfully repetitive combat with 0 likable characters and an inventory reset every 10 minutes.

Two Qualms:
1. There is nothing actiony about pokemon.

2. The story in Tales of Symphonia is terribly cliched and the voice acting is horrendous. Mind you, I enjoyed the game, but the story just fell apart and devolved terribly after the halfway point. I would recommend Tales of Eternia (also known as Tales of Destiny 2) as an example of a tales game with a much better story (and gorgeous sprites).

Not going to bother rating your list, because I haven't played most of the games on there.

I'm giving you a 6. There isn't very much variant there. If I were a newcomer to videogaming, this list would not give me very much exposure to the enormous universe of games out there.

I give it a 1/10, because the only game out of that bunch I would put on the list is Ocarina of Time. No offense, we just don't seem to have the same taste at all.

Though I do love myself some Smash Bros every now and then....
