Frozen Synapse: Potential Ladder

I've been thinking about making a Frozen Synapse ladder for a while, and since it's already for sale pay what you want on the Humble Indie Bundle [http://www.humblebundle.com] for the next week or so, I figured now is as good a time as any. We'll probably do little tournaments and stuff and have a usergroup here on The Escapist!

If there's any interest for that, that'd be awesome and we'd have a great time.

It's a really, really, fun game. I paid full price for it and think I got my monies worth, and when you can pay what you like, there's no reason not to.

So, yeah, an Escapist tournament thing would be fun.

I'd totally join that. I got it a few days back and have been playing the single player (after completing Trine) in order to get good before I enter multiplayer. If I'm going to lose to anyone, it may as well be to someone on the Escapist.

So... err... what do I have to do to get paired into a game? my Frozen Synapse account name is Knusper. I'm always on UK1.

I would love to see the vids of the finalists, that game is awesome. Sadly don't have the time to learn the game, so will need to pass on participating.

Sorry, I really like this game and I do want to support such devs who have awesome ideas and just try to make something out of them but I got upset playing Frozen Synapse during the mission where I had 3 shotgun dudes and had to fight 5 sniper badassmuthafuggars while my ally had fun shooting up members of an obscure sect having a sermon.

I asked the support Team for "help" but I think it's a straightforward case, Frozen Synapse is lost to me... I'm to pompous for it...

I don't think we really know what we're going to do yet, as there's no point working everything out if there's no interest.
So once there's enough interest we will work everything out.

We'll be playing on the UK 1 server, so I suppose you could just drop your username here.

THE FIRST LEVEL IS SO HARD. It took me like 3 hours to beat.

We're playing multiplayer so the difficulty that you found in the campaign doesn't really apply here.
The teams are equal, you will both have four units. So, yeah. There's no unfair odds going on or anything, it's a different experience and it's a shame to miss out on such a big portion of the game.
IMO multiplayer is the appeal behind the game.

Sure, I'll see if I can round some others up as well. I know the TF2 lot have been playing it.

Assuming you haven't beaten it by now, can I offer some advice? don't try camping in cover with the shotgun guys. Get them to run and gun - they have faster reflexes than machine gunners, you just have to come out from behind cover near them and get back in when they fire.
