Frustrating matches in CoD

I just hate it when I play a team game and I am the only one trying to advance on my team. Then the other team will start running around our spawn and I'll get spawn killed like crazy. This happens a lot on Wetwork if my team just sits back on our side of the ship.

hehe i was playing some shooter game i duno what game though i kinda forgot, but i know i was playing with a friend, he lobbed a grenade half way across the map just for fun(he was lobbing grenades everywhere) and by pure un presidented luck i was running by and it hit me a blew up, we both ended up laughing at it though, thank god it wasnt online, cause then i would think they may have modded it lol jking jking

Haha I like your honestly. This applies to me too... it's taken me 10 days worth of careful, defensive online play to get a 0.97 KD ratio in COD4

It's more fun when you stop caring and rush around like a lunatic!

That's one of the frustrations I have with COD4. I'm a better than average player and I have about 22 days of game time (500+ hours) in it over the last 6 months. My K/D is 1.05 but it's probably 1.5 or so lately because I started off as a terrible player.

Sometimes a cooked grenade lands on your head, sometime a sniper picks you off from across the map. The solution to those issues is to play so defensively that the game isn't fun and your team never wins (camp).

It's still a great game, perhaps the best console game ever made (so far). But I do hope MW2 has some additions that limit the amount of "not my fault" deaths. I don't mind getting out gunned by an enemy entering a room I'm leaving on vacant, at least I feel like I could have done something better. I don't mind tripping a claymore, I could have been more observant. I don't mind getting shot from 100 yards/meters away while I have a shotgun, I could have taken a better path to control the engagement. But cooked grenades anger me, there was nothing I could do and now my kill streak is over.

Campers and cooked grenades mostly. Though I often do 'strategically' hide to spring traps or generally stab people.

Trust me, when you play on a slow internet connection like mine, fast enough to play decently, but slow enough so it lags every now and then, shit goes bad lots of times.

Like when I was about to get a perfect headshot on a guy, and I get "Connection Interupted" and lag everywhere, and if I don't get kicked, I look round and get grenaded.

Every match. Ofcourse, Im used to CoD2 where I am one shotting everyone with my Kar bolt action rifle. But in WaW, I an NOT one shotting everyone with my crappy japanese bolt action rifle cause Im not level 41 (level to unlock Kar rifle) and everyone has lame perks that ruin the fun.

The Arisaka is the only sniper I use, and I'm rank 62. Its been my experience that it is the only rifle that one-shot-kills.

OT: Im usually pretty good at holding my own so long as my team is halfway competent, but therein lies the problem. I rarely get bolted to a competent team, I usually get the fucktards who complain about modding when they get killed by, well, anything.
It doesn't help that you stand in the open in the middle of the map fuckwit! You will be shot, and you have no excuse about it! /angry bit.

My COD performance sometimes feels totally unrelated to skill, I can go from 30/5 k/d to 7/18 with the same group of people on team deathmatch, so just put most of it down to luck (although it's still OK to brag about my good games =P).

There's also those longer periods though, where the world seems to be targeting you and everyone is godly at the game, they piss me off - I put THOSE performances down to lag ;-)

OT: When Im running across bridges, or open spaces in general very nonchalantly and never get touched. However, when i jump prone, or run from corners, i get a shot n' teh head.

Damn, however I have more hiding places, like lying under the statue in Downfall. That works surprisingly well for a little while.

Oh and I forgot to post what annoys me here is what annoys me:

Flamethrowers
Whiny little kids
Whiny big kids
Campers
RPGs
MP40s
Spawn-killers
Grenade-lobbers
And people with SMGs

So yeah, pretty much the whole game, but not tanks! That's because I like to run right up to a tank's side and run around them where they can shoot or run over me, it's so funny!

I've been there, man. It's not your fault, and it's not luck. It's hacking on your opponents' part. I've seen it happen. Lots of times. But I always outsmart the bastards.

I hope your joking some what with that as have you actually played against a hacker you cannot out smart someone who's gun moves instantly through your head or can see you through a wall.

OT:Yes I have had those games and they are annoying and as painfull as being kicked right in the nuts.

Once, on HTDM, I spawn right on top of a group of baddies, ready to slaughter the lot of them with my P90. So what happens? A teammate jumps out from behind a sofa and kills me. Grr.
