Lol... get Black ops if you want to see my dark side :D

I'm fairly restrained. If I think someone is playing bullshit tactics, I get angry. If I'm in a group with my friends, I'll scream and swear as much as I can.

It really depends on how tired I am and what game I am playing. Playing MW2 last night I got killed in very annoying ways and I think my only response to one thing was "come on, I hit you :("

Whereas if I play FIFA 11 (Career mode) and I want to pass the ball to a specific player, it will often go to someone else or the player will run away from the ball and the opposite team get it back. There are so many bugs with that game that it annoys the hell out of me.

On a seperate note, Miracle what do you think of the MP in Black Ops? and what platform do you have the game on?

Depends on the game. If it a shooter i get a frustrated a little easier. Mostly if my teammates if i end up in a team which doesnt know the word teamwork. This has happend a lot lately on TF2 with my team having 4 snipers, 5 spies or 4 engie. This often makes me pissed. Or Demon's Souls when i die a lot or I just lost a shitload of souls.

But i never get frustrated on hack and slash games. But i do release frustration and stress on Hack and slash games like Bayonetta and DMC.

I've felt the need to go around to my neighbours and apologise for the level of shouting before. It's not something I'm proud of, but yeah I rage after a string of losses. More so when I've come home from the pub and in my befuddled state convinced myself that the addition of alcohol is exactly what is needed to improve my K/D spread.

I tend to rage rather less playing Reach than when I'm playin MW2 as well, although that's understandable. The addition of killstreaks in the CoD games always gets me riled up. If my 6 kill streak comes to an end in Halo, it's no big deal; I've lost nothing. If my 6 kill streak comes to an end in CoD then all hell breaks loose, because "You little bast*rd! I was one kill away from my Harrier! You cheap-ass, run gunning, akimbo shotgun wielding nutsack! One more kill! I only needed one more kill! When I find you next you little..." and so on. Getting kicked off a kill streak really riles me in CoD games because there is a real in-game effect for stringing together kills, which other games don't have. Yeah ok, Halo has it's medal system, but a 'Hell's Janitor' medal doesn't impact on gameplay like a Predator missile does...

Same here. I'm embarrassed at things I've said when my team is like that ("Useless fucking team!"). It sets me off most when I'm playing as an Engineer or Demoman and my team leaves it up to me all to defend the intel against a well-coordinated team.

OR

When I go get the intel, bring it along a good ways before someone on the other team stops me, then no one on my team even attempts to help get it again. It's pretty hard for one guy of any class to take the intel when it's being guarded by 2 demomen with stickes all around, a heavy and medic combo, snipers, and a spy waiting for you to get just about there before he uncloacks and backstabs you.

I rage.

My rage usually happens in single player when certain areas get stupidly hard. in multiplayer it try to keep a level head, but i fail at that sometimes. the steps i take in black ops to prevent a meltdown are turning the volume on my mic to min, take a carefree approach to killstreaks ( if i get them i get them, if not no big deal) and limit my playing to 4-6 matches. one of these days i'll get around to playing team matches in black ops if i can find people i like.

if all of that fails, then i will go and play some bad company 2 on conquest. that's always a good time.

I've never taken online play seriously enough to get mad about it. Last night I was playing RDR online and a couple of guys took to repeatedly kill me. So I created a game where I'd try to jump off a nearby cliff before they killed me. They got tired of it before I did... I even followed them to another gang hideout.

Eh... pass. Aside from previously cited matters of blatant censorship in my country, games that expressly advertise through extreme realism just don't appeal much to me.

Now if you'll excuse me, the mailman just dropped off my Limited Codex Edition of Assassin's Creed: Brotherhood. As I'm writing this I'm already salivating all over my keyboard, and once I've cleaned it I'm going to go terrorize Rome.

No I don't get frustrated. Rather, I kind of find it funny when I'm completely outmatched, provided my opponents are good enough. I remember getting frustrated when I was a kid and watching my 8 bit sprite fall down a bottomless hole for the umpteenth time but with current games, when you die, it's often some spectacular display. I think that appeases me a bit.

My wife just got Black Ops and I suck at it too but I can't get too frustrated over it.

Maybe OP shouldn't play competitive games.

I do... and the explatives that fly from my mouth are pretty well strung together lol
My husband does too.. actually while I read this he's playing Black Ops. He's not doing well and had been cursing and insulting the other players for the last hour.
I find it entertaining because, like you said, in any other situation we're both calm and levelheaded people lol
luckilly we mute ourselves when we go off as we both know that no one else wants to hear us rant

I'm on medication for depression so my mood is artificially stabilized, it's very difficult to get me mad, I can be annoyed and frustrated sometimes but it's never a full-blown rage. I've been like that even before the medication but now the effects of getting pissed off don't seem to last that long.

However, I do get annoyed online when I'm playing against a stranger and they say nothing to me when I congratulate them on kicking my ass, it's kind of rude. I'm British, though, so like any red-blooded Englishman, I ignore it and keep it to myself.

In the past when I was very young, though, I would get so pissed off at the really hard games of my youth like Ninja Gaiden and that damn pink, fuzzy girl in Bust A Move 2. I actually managed to find that game again in a bargain bin, so I picked it up and replayed it for nostalgia's sake, it seems that my skills have improved over the years because I completed the entire story mode. Yay!

I think it improves a lot, like the gun balance and general gameplay, but I have a lot of issues with the game such as:

The knife is ridiculous and needs a nerf. At least give us some kind of protection from knifers... everything else in the game has a counter, why not the knife? I hate when I shoot a guy and he just lunges through my bullets for an auto-lock insta kill

Fucking RC Cars everywhere. It's gone from the US Air show into the Scalextric grand finals.

Spawns are the worst I have ever seen in any game.

The hit detection is fucked, so very inconsistent (one game I'll be running around downing everyone super fast, the next my bullets are magically passing through people like I'm firing a water gun)

I pretty much reserve my frustrations to just repeating the word 'fuck' over and over. I make a game of trying to string as many expletives as I can into a single sentance. It's all in good fun though - I'll often swear at enemies I've just killed and challenges I've just beat too. Also girlfriends, children, dogs - basically I just swear at everyone and everything. I've never rage quit a game because of frustration or broken a controller or anything like that.

I don't have the technological or financial requirements to play games online so I only ever play single player. Maybe that's a factor.

Oh, fitting you would create this topic since I've heard you've had some frustration issues with CoD games.

So does everyone, believe me.

I mean, when I played MW2 on PC, I sucked bad, my K/D did not matter to me one bit, so I took getting murdered easier.

Here I don't. I'm alright at Black Ops, so getting screwed by an RC Car is annoying, especially when I have been shooting at it for the past 10 seconds.

Claymores - they suck. Spawning - it's pretty bad. And every time I run around near a team mate and get killed, I always blame it on him. I don't wear a headset for this very reason.

When the other team gets a chopper gunner, my first thought is "So, you bastards allowed him to destroy you 9 times in a row?". I can't help it.

CoD really brings out the worst in me. So does any online FPS for that matter (no matter what the problems with CoD are - knifing, claymores, RC - they are NOTHING compared to getting murdered by the gravity hammer on that one Reach map).

I gave up. I started using it. Everyone uses it on HQ and HQ's the only thing I play.

I have been really trying to play with the UAV and it's really helpful, but EVERYONE has an RC Car. And why wouldn't they - it's basically a free kill after 3 (or 2 in my case, remember, Hardline).

Oh, and Last Stand or whatever it's called now. I use that one. Not because I'm a jerk, but because I never ever had problems with it and easily finish off the guys who use it. And it's not that helpful. And it gets people excited and they try to knife you. And you kill them.

Hah you still seem to be annoyed, you didn't even tell me what platform you were playing on :>

If it's PC, I'll play with you when I get the game (I ordered it today).

I don't really get angry. Not to the point of verbalising at any rate. Say if I get all the way to the end of a level of mario on daredevil and die 3 inches from the star...
Well then, yes, I'll give a loud "FUUUUUUUUUCK" but then I'm fine half a second later.

If a game is too frustrating I'll just stop playing and play something else.

That is another problem with the spawning... I can be running around flanking with Ghost and a silencer and then suddenly there's a team-mate spawning next to me spraying his AK47u all over the place and oh look... now the enemy who just spawned behind us knows exactly where we are.

Same here man. I spent two hours on BO today and the whole time I was swearing, raging and kicking the wall... nothing was going my way lol
