Divinity 2: Dragon Knight Saga. It's a charming, fun RPG full of great wit and a very solid story, all set over a beautiful and engrossing landscape. It's one of the funniest games I have ever played, yet it never crosses over into parody or outright humor. The writing is both witty and quirky, yet serious at the same time... without the seriousness or the humor ever compromising one another. It's all very nicely done.

I see so many people always overlook this lovely little WRPG, which is especially ironic when people start saying things about WRPGs being in a dry spell.

Kerbal Space Program, you get thrusters and all that cool shit and make a rocket and see how high it can go. Really awesome. It's free, too.

The Dark Cloud Series, especially the sequel

Dungeon Crawler RPG with random dungeon room generator, with a couple twists:

1: instead of leveling characters, your weapons are leveled through fusing them with elemental energy which can be drawn from attachments in the first game or... pretty much any item in the second game.

Weapons can be deconstructed and fused with other weapons too to combine attributes and special abilities.

2: the "overworld" of each dungeon area starts barren, but is built up from the magical god-stone your character wields.

I completely agree with the above poster about Perfect Dark, can't honestly say i've played the new amazing-super-dooper version for the X-Box 360 (I am somewhat 360-less) but the original is a classic that is easily as good if not slightly better than Goldeneye on which it was mostly based. I played that game to death.

As for fun games people don't really know about:
1 Rez (PS2) Since this is a gaming website, i'm well aware that a heck of a lot of people will remember this one, Simple Rail-Shooter in a bizarre pseudo-tron landscape. Plus, Coldcut on the soundtrack!

2 Wetrix (N64) I heard this described as 'Tetris for hippies' which it absolutely is. Build lakes, collect rain, laugh at rubber ducks.
