Well if it helps, personally I think you and all the staff do a pretty damn good job.

Anyway, I don't seem to get much hate mail, although I have occasionally had poorly written 'essays' about how I suck but judging by my Xbox profile, I am not particularly liked on Live as I currently have for the player review thingymajig

"17% preferred you or did not submit a review about you"
"83% avoided you"

With the details saying

11% was for aggressive behaviour and 67% for unsporting behavior

I was playing Fifa and lost by a lot so some guy sent me a message saying "hahahaha" so I replied with the speech from Taken then shouted "Fuck your fucking goat you flipper" and got no reply. Argument won. I tend to reply to hate mail in this manner

I dunno. Steam doesn't have mail, so I don't get any from TF2 games I dominate.

When I was playing PS3 a lot with Uncharted 2 multiplayer, I got a couple requests to 1v1 or people mad that I was using that one booster to see their names through walls.

It's the most fucking useful one, why wouldn't I use it!

Wow that must have cut deep. How are you not an emotional wreck.

OT: The only real online hate mail I've had was after quitting a game of Halo 3 Team Slayer in which I was the lowest rank by about 3 or 4 ranks. While I know rank doesn't directly affect combat prowess, it certainly meant that I was outclassed. About 10 minutes in I had maybe 2 or 3 kills with around 10 deaths. I was not a happy camper as I was just spawning and dying in a constant loop. Because of this, I quit the game in search of greener pastures.

All was fine until about a half hour later when I got a message from some random gamertag I didn't recognise. I opened it to see what it was about to find a message to the effect of: "You ragequitting *****, why did you quit you made us lose, blah, blah, blah" (I can't remember the exact message as it was about 4 years ago). This absolutely perplexed me as I naiively thought that a low ranking player leaving a non-objective-based game with an appalling K/D ratio would at least not matter in the slightly. I was wrong. Apparently this was an act of similar repugnance to screaming down the mic like a twat, making racial slurs about someone's mother while playing shit music in the background. I sent him a message back explaining that I wasn't exactly having the time of my life getting my ass handed to me on a silver platter by people who completely outclassed me and that we would have lost quicker had I stayed in the game as I was essentially score-cow for the other team going to the slaughter if I so much set foot outside the building. This apparently didn't suffice as he sent me back another message saying how I should have stayed in anyway for the sake of something. I told him to calm down and that it was just a game and he should let it go, a statement he quickly turned into something about how I shouldn't have quit anyway, after which I gave up trying to get this guy to piss off and just deleted the message.

Other than that, I haven't received any hate mail other than the usual unintelligible garbage and vitriol that spews forth from Xbox Live for just about everything, from sucking to being accused hacking the game for being a jammy bastard to having the sheer audacity to be alive YOU CRETIN! (Of course I would be exceedingly surprised if anyone on Xbox Live even knew what half those words meant let alone how to spell and use them). Overall, I keep my mic off or stay in a party and congratulate people who are genuinely good at the game, although I don't think I've ever done that outside of Rainbow Six Vegas 2 as that game is not terribly easy online.

I once had a guy I beat at LoL repeatedly message me telling me that I was a "Mexican." I found it very confusing because I wasn't aware that "Mexican" is meant to be insulting. Did I miss the Random Racism Memo or something? On the few occasions I've been told that I "play like a fag," I've usually responded that my best friend is gay and has a rating of around 2300, so I can only take that as a compliment.

My favorite so far, though, was the guy who called me a "douchebac" somewhere around six times in a single game. I'm still not sure what a douchebac is, but I'll be fucked if it's not really a really fun word to say outloud.

Yep. And worse. Whenever this kind of thing comes up, my friends and colleagues (who are, as you might expect, almost exclusively male) always ask me "No-one's ever said something like that to you, have they?" and I assure them yes, it happens all the time. They're always shocked and horrified, which I find encouraging, in a way. It's nice to see there are people who still have enough class to be appalled by those who lack it.
Too often for me, I find *support* for that kind of behavior in surprising places. I suppose that's why there's an "Unfriend" option on Facebook.

Probably still an equal amount of comedy value there though. Hell, it sounds more interesting.

OT: Nothing, really. The only thing I remember was being called a 'Claymore C**t' in BLOPS. Hey, if he isn't going to look where he's going, I'm going to take advantage of that.

I don't want to live on this planet anymore.

OT:Never actually,I'm the average player so not hatemail 4 me. Although for some reason I got a -rep for being unsporting(cursing) when I don't even have a mic.

My friends send my messages to "Stop spamming jutsu!".

You'd think them being my friend that's more a constructive criticism than hate mail, but they're actually that mad.
