My TF2 game crashed and a sound file of the soldier yelling OOH-RAH kept repeating. So, I plugged in my speakers, cranked the volume, and left. My room mate was not pleased.

In Halo2 I was driving a tank around zanzibar and I got stuck in the blades of the windmill thing, after a few seconds the tank started to vibrate and suddenly it shot out, hit the far side of the map and then bounced all the way back, but landed on the upper walkway (where the turrets are) I just wish it had happened in halo 3 so I could have saved the film, submitted it and maybe earn Recon

Mass Effect

I played a female character, and suddenly, maybe 20% through the game, something glitched in the elevator, and then Garrus, after a brief spasm, slid directly behind Shepard. It looked as though he was attempting to rape the dear commander. The thing it, for some reason, after that it continued to happen EVERY TIME I WAS IN AN ELEVATOR. There was not a single elevator ride in which I was not molested by perverted ol' Garrus. So creepy...

My best was in cs:s zombiemod when on a huge lava map I was suddenly able to jump 100 feet into the air with low gravity. I passed all obstacles with ease while watching my teamates hit the lava floor and go flying across the map cartwheeling through the air.

In Oblivion I walked out of The County Hall in Skingrad. I see an object fall from the sky...it was my horse...and it was dead.

gonna have to say...garry's mod, kind of like the hl2 glitch RhusRadicans mentioned, with a touch of mallory's fallout 3.
I had (a modded verion of) ragmod enabled in this server my friend started. i fall off a building and ragdolize. i don't die, so my friend decides it'd be a larf if he shoved my head up my ass. when he did, i couldn't respawn, and i was just floating 3 feet in the air flailing like a chicken with it's head...shoved up it's ass...and when i finally did respawn(he had enough of my chicken flailing and frred me), my body uncurled, and killed a passing Civi npc with it's crotch. GOOD GOD, i wish i had mah fraps then XD

Fallout 3. Dart gun. Yao-Guai pouncing me. The dart gun glitched. Or rather, it worked as it's supposed to; paralyzed the giant, mutated beast, his cataract eyes glaring at me from V.A.T.S. Then, I unfroze it, and he rocketed for a good hundred meters or so. Apparently, their momentum from that moment is just left there, as the animation doesn't finish. It was awesome to see a living bear rocket.

Left 4 Dead elevator glitch. You're a prick if you do it to your partners, but you HAVE to try it atleast once.

Thankfully/sadly it was patched.

Physics is fun. I remember starting up "The Pitt" in fallout 3, killing some sniper on a bridge, and then him suddenly distending himself about a mile wide and flailing about like a madman. And then he disappeared. I hope his story ended well. Godspeed, flailingman.
Something like that happened when I came across that same sniper, except I was actually able to disarm him from a good distance using my gauss rifle. Then I shot him off the bridge (alive) also with the gauss rifle, and he fell onto a car, that exploded after he hit it. Not a glitch, but awesome nontheless. But back on subject, that game is riddled with glitches.

If I get a sudden burst of lag in TF2 then I'll stay alive but drop bodies once in a while. I will hear the sound of a body hitting the ground, turn around and sure enough there's a dead me... sitting in the middle of a resupply.

Playing...DDO maybe? Regardless, my buddy was setting up his mic to voice chat with a friend from out of town. He was fiddling with it, and the volume was cranked on his speakers so he could hear the chat, which was way too soft at the time. Anyways, he said an obscenity into his mic to test it, but the mic was taped to the wall too close to his left speaker, causing feedback with a short lag. The problem here is that after the first curse came out of the speaker and back into the mic, the lag was long enough to create a distinct, separate curse. And, it played slightly louder then before. And then louder again. And then louder again, in an ever increasing in volume explicative. He went to turn off the right speaker control, but bumped it onto the floor out of his reach. At this point to was ear splitting, so he ripped his mic off the wall, and buried it under a pillow. My friend takes on this tone reminiscent of someone talking about a nuclear holocaust, and says, "Dear god man, you almost killed us all!".

Later, if we threatened to start doing an instance without him, he would threaten to break out his mic again. We decided that avoiding the worlds destruction through a sonic blast was prudent.

A more traditional game glitch was in Vampire: Bloodlines (Buggiest game Ive ever played). The best was how in character creation, if you went back to change your clan, but just clicked the same clan again, your points to spend would reset, but your points already spend would not. Start the game with max in every skill.

Fallout3 Broken Steel:

Two Feral Ghoul Reavers attacking a turret on the ceiling in the presidential metro. They walked fine, but they dodged every shot fired at their torso's/heads.
The best way to describe them is Agent Smith, dodging every shot from Neo before the helicopter scene in the first Matrix movie.

It was a glitch, because their torso's went flying after I killed them with a plasma rifle critical.

In oblivion, I used a lightning touch spell on a bear (or some animal) and for some reason it kept running while dead, and did not stay to the ground. It ended up inside a tree canopy.

Another good one was in Gears of War 2 online, the meatflag in submission got stuck about 30 ft in the air on Jacinto (about the height of the grenade spawn) and stayed there for about 25 minutes shooting.

In Halo: CE, on the fifth mission in the snow caynon, the last cut scene, you can kill MC and the cut scene would continue on with no one there. It's easiest in Co-op. You have to have a banshee or a ghost and good timing and/or aiming skills. Before you open the final door to the control room, position the banshee or ghost in the middle but back enough so you can get speed. In Co-op, have your partner open the door, and you can do one of two things. The first, you speed up and ram the banshee or ghost through the door, resulting in splattering MC. If you get enough speed, the banshee can reach the control panel and move Cortana a little bit. The second way, you need the banshee, position it in the middle, aiming down the middle. Your partner can open the door and you, at the last second, can release the banshee bomb, I call it, and instantly killing MC. You can also move Cortana this way but you would miss out on killing MC most likely.

Me and my friend were playing a little session of PvP when we were about the finish this level. I had the banshee and was planning on splattering my friend right before he opened the door. Only I missed him and the cut scene came and my banshee landed on MC. We, at the point, laughed for a total of 15 mins the first time. I was on the floor and my friend said to me, "You killed the MC. You're a traitor!" Those were the fun days...
In fact, if you run past the Hunters standing just outside that door and let them follow you when you trigger the cutscene they'll run in and kill you while the MC is walking over to Cortana.

I'd say funniest/best glitch in a game was when the scout could block the door in TF2 ah good fun. :)
