Funniest (and somewhat saddest) death was when Luis was killed by Saddler in RE4. Anyone else see where the TENTACLE went back to?
I concur. It got even funnier by Leon whining over his impaled corpse. I was going to post it with a spoiler alert, but someone who hasn't played Resident Evil 4 yet cannot be pitied.

More griefing than examples of legitimate character deaths (and it's probably been seen by half the internet) but this never fails to make me giggle.

As for "proper" deaths I'd probably go for Lemmings as well. Pressing self-destruct always fills me with a kind of peverse joy.

I love the part in Saint's Row 2 where in the last mission,
Vogel gets shot in the mouth and falls out of a scyscraper, bumping into two smaller buildings along the way.

Its not fun but, it is so damned entertaining shooting the legs of the zombies(necromorphs) in dead space, then wait till they come to you and then crush their face with your 1 ton boot, or you know, killing zombies in general are entertaining, try it^^

Aeris.
I don't know about anyone else,
But I laughed.
I didn't, she was my best sodding character!
On subsequent reruns, i pretty much ignored her entirely :D
I just like white mages I guess

Lets not forget the death off all those scientists in Black Mesa. Like the one where the one guy is trying to keep his buddy from being pulled into an airshaft and the VHOOMP in they both go and juicy gibs come flying out, with appropriate bone crunching sound effects.
Yes, the whole sequence with the Barney trying to kill the tentacle monster with his pistol only to be gibbed was pretty great too. In the HL2 part of the series, Dog's victims tend to die pretty hillariously.

Basically any video game situation in which a low-level enemy is just obliterated by a powerful ally gets me cackling, Liberty Prime's litany of hapless victims being a notable example.

That new Wolverine game has a couple of good ones, including the grunt getting skewered through the throat and head after asking to have his picture taken with what he thought was Logan's corpse.

Anyone here old enough to remember the final boss in Full Throttle biting it?

Also, any use of the Wilhelm Scream anywhere makes me smile.

No. I did not. That was a sad scene, and you laughed through it. You terrible person.
Well, I guess I'm just the only one who hated Aeris.
But on the bright side it was pretty funny. Finally an annoying character gets their cummufins.

When people are posting spoiler alerts, but NOT TELLING US WHAT THE GAME IS UNTIL WE CLICK THE DAMN SPOILER, it really annoys me. Is it, like, "don't click on this unless you've played every game ever to completion"? Pffft.

Anyway, my favourite is near the start of Resident Evil 5 when you get attacked by a bunch of dirt-bike zombies and Delta Team show up and kick their asses. One guy drives over his friend's corpse and gets sent flying through the air before getting impaled on the downed helicopter. Pretty awesome.

either that or the scrolls of icarian flight :D

Or there was the bit in San Andreas where you could climb in the crane at the docks with a wanted level and throw the police cars into the military base... They were NOT pleased to see those guys..
I loved that quest! Although something I did find hilarious was a randomly spawned slaughterfish out of water in the Imperial Prison Sewer during that Dark Brotherhood quest. It couldn't attack; it only "swam" around and looked menacingly at me.

Oh, and At the end of Mass Effect when you could get Saren to blow his regretful face off, then he comes back as a cyborg mud crab.

The blu Spy in the meet the Spy video.
Well said.

Mind you, I think the funniest death I ever caused was when I set fire to the floor underneath the other teams' feet in farcry 2. Killed just over half their team before they realized what was happening.

A crimson guard in Jak 2. shot down those huge-ass ships, and it landed on a crimson guard. But somehow he survied and kept glitching under the veichle.

Ohh man... all those emo Aeris worshippers.. It's like if that scene doesn't make you cry they think you aren't human. There's a perfectly good reason for not crying: not feeling any connection to the character. Come on, you've got to admit...the whole cute holy virgin vibe she is supposed to convey doesn't exactly make her original. I found nothing interesting about her and therefore she doesn't deserve my tears.

Agreed. If you haven't even heard of RE4, somethings wrong with you... And it's not really a spoiler. I never said when it happened.

Doing Old Hillbrad in WoW. You rescue Thrall then he just goes up and like punches some human blacksmith in the head and kills him. Its the best the WoW models allow but its funny to watch.
Ragnaros slaying Major Domo with a pathetic little fireball.
