My puggle (pug and beagle crossbreed) often has her bottom row of teeth showing after shaking her head (you know the gesture that dogs do). It's like her teeth get stuck outside her mouth. Often though when she knows she has been bad and told off she will go away and comeback a minute or so later with her bottom teeth showing (it has happened too many times to be a coincidence meaning... she has most likely practised and can basically do it at will now).
This is what's happening:

My sister has 2 Jack Russells, one of them is a "mini" (kind of looks like a large Chihuahua more then a Jack Russell).

Lady, the regular Jack Russell, has some funny quirks. One in particular is really cute. She has this weird reaction to sneezes. If you sneeze around her, by the time your done recoiling she'll be up in your face. We have no idea why she does this, she'll even run from one room to the other to catch the sneezer in the act. Having allergies around her can be a hassle, but she gets so excited over it... it's just too adorable.

Shylo, the mini, has another weird one... he likes to slap people in the face. Sometimes you'll just be minding your own business when the little bugger will dash straight to your face and paw it a few times. It's funny to look at, as you he'll raise his paw as high as he can get it and just plops on your face (usually your mouth or cheek). If you try to hold him back he'll just alternate paws or shimmy his way out of your grip and continue pawing. It's not a prelude to anything, he isn't trying to get you up or make you do something, he's just pawing your for the sake of it.

The reason why he does it is his owner likes to play fight with him when he's on his chest. This usually involves just clasping his snout with his palm and goading him into pawing him back. Now that's how he treats everyone. It's totally harmless as he never scratches, just slaps you with the paw (and he doesn't have the force to hurt you).

My old pet, a Maltese Terrier called Ricky, had it's own quirk. He OWNED the couch next to my Mom, to the point where he would growl at anyone who would dare to sit next to her. This included my Dad. That never changed in all the years we had him.

Also, when he was old he became forgetful. He would prefer his own company in his own bed for most of the day, but would always "check in" on my mom, who was either in the kitchen or in the living room. He'd do this every half hour all day long. It was adorable, but sad at the same time as he was getting so old he would just forget what he had done.

He also LOVED grapes, though they did not agree with his digestion. I mean, it was like crack to him.

I grew up with a budgie named Ralph who used to hang upside down on the bell at the top of his cage. He also liked to catcall when he did it. We got him from one of my mom's friends, so I'm sure he learned both of these from his previous owner.

That bird was weird...

This is something I noticed a couple days ago with my kitten, I personally found it very funny and was speaking to a work colleauge who also has a pet that has funny quirks.

I have these treats that are little sticks in a way, they are considered a treat. I can literally open one of those and he'll come darting through my apartment like a bat out of hell and sit on the couch to beg when I open them. He'll then proceed to give paw (which I taught him, thank you very much) and a high five. After obtaining the stick instead of just eating it, he'll pounce around my apartment filled with happiness making his chirping noises. This process lasts about 15 minutes or so until he jumps on my lap and purrs at me so I can pet him on his head, he gives an approving chirp and trollys off again running through my apartment with his treat stick. After this process has taken another 5 minutes hes usually worn out and just lays on the couch then slightly nibbling his stick.

Another thing I find 'funny' about him, ever since I brought him home Ive always made sure to spend lots of time with him, be it playing, petting or anything else of that sort. I usually always gave him a little kiss on his nose and he always seemed to like it. Now its at the point where he wont go to bed if I dont give him a kiss on his nose. He'll sit on the window sill and look at me half drowsy and pounce over and stick his nose towards me, I give it a small kiss and he'll curl up into a ball then and go to sleep. (Sidenote, this also occurs in the mornings...the dork will wake me up at 6:00 on weekends with his paws in my face so I can give his nose a kiss and then proceeds to go back to sleep whilst I lie there wide awake...)

So my dear escapists, do you have any pets? If so, do they do anything you always find funny and amusing time and time again?
I found this relevant imagw for you

My two ferrets Bartleby and Rufus will steal anything, mostly my socks, umbrellas, and towels and they then proceed to hide them under or behind things, also when they get put on the bed with me they will groom my head as apparently i'm head Ferret as far as they can tell.

My cat is pretty fat and very lazy. I learned a few months ago if I poke his side and he's standing up. He'll just fall to the floor on his side and just lay there... waiting. Brings me some joy to just poke him and then have him fall over.

My other cat sticks his back legs straight up whenever he likes his balls. It's a great mix of cute and nasty.

I had a hamster once who was ridiculously organized. Every bit of food had its own special place in her cage. One section of the cage was specifically reserved as her toilet. Every toy had to be in its proper place. Now, despite how humorous this was to watch itself, the real fun began when we cleaned her cage. She would often have some food left that we failed to replace a lot of times. She went ballistic when this happened. She couldn't process that things weren't where they were supposed to be, and she would even tear up her cage looking for her food. We eventually started placing a little food in there just so she wouldn't tear her cage up looking for it. Apparently, she wasn't so well organized that she kept track of the food that she had.

My grandparents also had a cockapoo that loved chasing after toys but was often too small to properly bring it back during a game of fetch. However, if we tried to take it away so we could throw it again, she would growl at us and nip at our hands. Unfortunately, if we ended up just waiting for her, she would give up trying to bring it back and then guard it for her life from any person or dog that tried to take it from her. It basically became an exercise in waiting for her to lose interest in the toy.

I have three cats and I'm not sure if it's a common thing for them to do but they like to lick plastic bags. When I say lick I mean lick them as if they were ice cream, lollipops, etc. I half-jokingly say they have a plastic fetish given they will do it for a solid 10 minutes without pause.

Ooooh, don't let them do that!! The plastic bags you're talking about (like the type you get at grocery stores) often have a type of coating on them that cats love. However, it's known to give them cancer.

That is super-cute

A puppy I fostered would bring me my shoes when she wanted to go for a walk. She would not chew them (odd for an 8-week old rescue pup) but would instead drop the shoe at your feet and trot back to get the other shoe. After delivering both of them, she would then look at you with the happiest, most expectant eyes you ever saw. "well, you have your shoes now, lets get going"

She would just look so pleased with herself I could not bring myself to train that out of her. I still keep in-touch with the family that adopted her, she still does it.

My dog is a massive weirdo.

My dog Max is a lab and every morning he gets a milk bone after his breakfast and it has to have some cheese stuffed into it, otherwise he won't chew it. It also has to be pepper jack, and he will refuse to chew it if it has any other type of cheese. He's rather picky about his cheese really...

Also, he pouts like a champ. I don't mean like giving you a look like 'you don't love me' and be all happy when you change your mind. I mean, he will sit with his back to you, look over his shoulder every so often, and ignore you when you try to give him attention. This will go on for about an hour or so until he decides he wants something else.

Another thing that he does is headbutt me, and that's mainly my fault since I think I taught it to him accidentally. When I'm scratching him and I'm on the floor with him I would give him a little headbutt (not too hard) after he would poke me with his nose. Somehow he picked that up and one day when I'm roughhousing with him the little bastard headbutts me hard, and he does this every time now.

I love the little guy, but that's just cheating. :(
