Alright, I had a pretty funny experience today, and I was wondering if anyone else has stories that they feel are interesting/funny enough to share. My idea is basically to take a tagline from that and say how it could be used in other experiences. For example:

Proposed name- Black Milky White

Usage- used to denote a complete misunderstanding

Explanation- Okay, so today, I was in my gym class with a few of my friends. We were doing a game of telephone* for "Project Adventure"(basically, team-building). My friend Mike [http://www.escapistmagazine.com/profiles/view/paladinkratos] starts with the phrase "All Aboard the Fail Train". By the time it gets around to me, the last person, it had somehow become "Black Milky White."

*For those who don't know, Telephone is a game where people sit in a circle, one person whispers a message, which then goes around the circle, and everyone gets a laugh at how much it changes over the course of it. Usually, it's within reason, however.

So, any similar funny stories?

EDIT: Got rid of certain words which I apparently shouldn't have used. Apologies.

I sense that this is not going to end well.
I can see why you'd think that. But really, it isn't discussing memes beyond simply sharing funny stories. Admittedly, I could have phrased that differently. Edit, perhaps?

Black Milky White? Totally gonna use that.
Hurm...Well, I think "Bonk" should become a meme. One of my friends hit me with a water bottle today(we all had them, it was the renaissance fair(faire?)) and he said "BONK!" So, we all started quoting TF2 and hitting each other with water bottles. One of my friends was the Heavy Weapons Guy, one was the Pyro, and I was the Scout. By far, the most fun one to do/say is run up, hit, and yell out bonk.

Funny. It could be argued that that's already a meme though.

You have to do that "Project Adventure" bull too? It's a coincidence that someone random has had to go through the same shit as I have.
That gives me and idea for a meme: "Project Adventure"
Used to denote the feeling of relief and surprise at finding someone random who has gone through a bad experience similar to yours.
Usage: "Oh man, I just had a project adventure there, its good to know other people have gone through that crap"

Definitely Edit. Plus, that game is actually called Chinese Whispers.

Incidentally, during rehersals for a play before Easter I was roped into a game where you have two people sitting opposite each other and they have to speak in a made up language (can be anything from R2-D2 to French to cat's meowing, and so on). Other people then 'translate' into whatever they see fit and you keep up a conversation like that. Needless to say, it can get pretty rude and hilarious very quickly. I suppose it would work much better as a drinking game though...

What would you suggest for the edit? I'm a bit tired at the moment (probably why I even started this thread).

Really? I've honestly never heard it outside of TF2, or the occasional gaming forum joke involving its use.

All you need to do is get rid of the word 'meme', since the mods may not approve too much of the whole 'meme' idea. Otherwise it's fine.

Proposed Name - A HUNTER'S GOT ZOEY!

Usage - Used to point out an extreme AI failure.

Explanation - My youngest sibling usually plays as Zoey in Left 4 Dead, and in one instance, he got attacked by a Hunter. I hear 'A Hunter's got Zoey!' like 5 times, and when I look at the screen...the teammates haven't done anything. Even my brother yelled it at them, and eventually he declared the team AI a load of bullpuckey and died. Now, whenever he plays and the teammates do something stupid, I have a tendency to yell A HUNTER'S GOT ZOEY at him. It always gets a laugh...

Nice one. It is odd how the AI in L4D is either completely idiotic or godly.

You have to do Project Adventure too? But you got to play telephone in it? That's not even physical! You do realize that the whole point of gym class is to do physical activity right? I don't know what state you live in but here in New York the state mandates a particular amount of hours of physical education in schools per week, or month or something. It sucks.

I actually haven't tried the PA in my school yet but I was just forced to sign up for it for next quarter, and this quarter ended...today. So on Monday I'll find out what it's like. I think the younger classes do mostly non-physical crap like bowling and such, but apparently Junior and Senior classes do all this climbing shit. There's one of those climbing walls set up on one wall, and there's a ladder hanging from the cieling, and there's some big bar thing you're supposed to climb up somehow... And I shouldn't even be in this class because I'm a sophomore but since I'm in chemistry (which is usually for juniors) I got put in their gym class to make my schedule fit. I don't want to fall 100 feet down the gym wall and die :(

Alright enough ranting about Project Adventure. Wow that much complaining and I haven't even done the damn thing yet. Okay, focus. Story time.

...

I don't have any. Sorry.

Yeah, Telephone isn't really physical, but it's just our second day of Project Adventure. At some point, we're climbing a rope wall outside.

at some point but you also have to remeber Josh our teacher is unatentive so we can just walk around the wall instead of climbing up it. So maybe it was the teacher so we aren't having project adventure. what we are probably having is going to be a free period for 1/2 of the marking period
