For those of you that don't know, Funspot is what used to be an amusement Park located in Weirs Beach, New Hampshire. It had branched out during the golden age of arcades, and in the late eighties, had arcades all over the state, and even one in Florida. As arcades died, every single one of the satellite arcades tanked. Those games were shipped up to the main Funspot. The owner bought and fixed up some other old machines he would find, and Funspot is now the largest arcade in the world, and how to a great arcade museum.

I was there yesterday, and I'm wondering how many people here have been to it. If you haven't, it's really worth the trip.

I've never heard of it. I'd like to check it out if I'm ever up in that region of the country.

If I was making a trip to Florida to see arcade systems, I would be bringing bolt-cutters and several large trucks.

So no. I lack the funds.

I really want to check it out, but I live near D.C. so a trip to Flordia is a bit of a pain.

Wait wait wait, are you talking about the go-kart places they have in Orlando and Kissimmee? Because their arcades aren't that impressive.

EDIT: Wait, I, along with about all of the commenters, seem to have misread your OP, OP. I Googled it, and the place does seem pretty cool.

Last time I was in Florida, the XFL was still a thing. I'm not going back just to visit an arcade museum, no matter how awesome it is.

I've been, and I can testify that it is a holy site for an age gone by. Not quite my style- I'm a console fanboy at heart- but for old school arcade gamers I can't imagine a better place.

If you're interested, you should check out "The King of Kong: a Fistful of Quarters"- it's a documentary about the competitive world of Donkey Kong record holders. Most of the second half takes place in Funspot.

To anyone confused, they USED to have one in Florida. The only one left is in New Hampshire.
