Well i just saw the last futurama movie, possibily the last Futurama ever (though unlikely) and i must say i was quite dispiontted, but reveiws all over the net are singing its prising saying its the best of the four. I found the first one, Benders Big score, to be the best. This latest one, Into the Wild Green Yonder, just feels forced. Fry and Leela have no emotion between them them all of a sudden theiir all over each other at the end.
What did you think, fitting ending to a great series (Hopefully not) or dispopionting to say the least?

And i know my spelling and grammer sucks
Top work with the spoiler there. The way you slipped it in shows the kind of talent that money just can't buy.
Sorry but even Matt Greoning told us what the ending was before the 2nd movie was released. And to be honest you can see it coming from a mile away. You want it to happen but not in the way the film forces it upon you.

Well it's resurrected now, so I guess I'll add my two cents. The movies just don't have as many laugh out loud moments as the show did. Bender's Game was my favorite, cause they were all nerdin out, but the movies for the most part are just decent. Love hanging out with the gang again, but a half hour show makes for much better pacing for these guys. The end of the 4th movie is just sad. I want more Futurama!

The only one that I felt was a little sketchy was the 2nd, The Beast With A Billion Backs. It was funny and everything, but I felt that it didn't feel as much like a film with chapters and more just like 4 episodes of the show that was being played like some marathon feature on TV.
This is why I liked it the best. Theres no denieing that Futurama was better back in the day, but not because the movies are any less funny (which they're not). Futurama is show made for episodic form. Thats how I've watched the movies so far. In 2, maybe 3 sittings. Way to get the best out of it, as the jokes don't get stale.
I agree that the show fits better in a format with shorter more frequent intervals. They used to pack the episodes with so many jokes you could hardly get them all in one run. I knew we were in trouble at the beginning of the first movie when they waste a bunch of time right of the bat with reunion nonsense. Compare the average number of jokes in the 23 min of an episode to the number of jokes in the movies which are more than an hour. The rhythm is gone and they just didn't bother with the background material like they used to. I'd say they got progressively better, with the fourth film being the best. But they all tried to stretch things out longer than those things could handle.

Overall the movies were alright, but nothing that really convinces me that the series is still alive.
Benders Big Score: Average, had quite a bit of Futurama charm.
BwaBB: Bad, plot that makes little sense, some bad sex jokes thrown in and overall did not feel like Futurama.
Benders Game: Good, really got a lot of the classic nerdy humor of Futurama.
ItWGY: Average, kind of dull at times but definitely had Futurama style humor. Rather confusing/disappointing end though.

See i would say its the opposite of that, the first one was the best as it followed Fry and Leela (alwaysa good storyline) but had plenty of other stuff going on, and i found the time traveling to be very clever and well done. The 3rd was the worst ( iwas never a fan of D&D) and the 4th avrage to say the least.

It's just good to see something new. Yeah the last movie was a little out there but it's still a funny movie.

Benders big score in my opinion was amazing. It was funny, and it made me cry. Like really. When Lars died, I was like "WHYYYYYYYYY" after I knew the truth.

I'm saying, their first responsibility is to be funny and it's like they forgot. WRT the story, you may have a point. Although in that department I felt they all fell a little flat, in contradistinction to the episodes almost everyone of which had a great story, but at least the new film had some jokes in it.

I loved the first one at the time. More Futurama, how could it be bad?

Then... well... then they made 3 more. I think overall they're good SciFi movies, funny even. But if you stack them up against the old episodes (I have all the DVD's), the movies are really quite poor.

And I don't know why either.

EDIT:
Oh, and my personal favourite was Beast with a Billion Backs. I felt it was the closest in terms of spirit and laughs, to the original eps.

For me, Benders big score was the best, the last one was good, but not quite there.

As for Fry and Leela, I thought it was handled ok, after the last episode (series 4) the films should have contained more about their impending romance

I think thats why i found the fouth so disapointing,, they say like 3 things to each other, then boom, their all over each other at the end.
Thats pronly why i foudnt he first one as my favourite, not as mnay jokes but a proper story thoughout, and i still found it very funny.

I really enjoyed the first movie. I enjoyed the Lars/Lelia/Fry dynamic and how it resolved. It even had a camoe with the dog from the episode that makes me sniffle every time it plays.

C'mon, who didn't tear up while that sad music played while showing the years go by with the dog loyally waiting for his master...

Sniff, I think I have some dust in my eye.

Matt Groeingn has said there is no plan in the future to continue Futurama series, but he left it open at the end so as they could contiune on at a later date. The problem being that there is no network that wants to take it on as a regular series. However, I feel as though once it begins airing in its episodic form on cartoon network, and the ratings are high, the I can see CN taking it on, which would make me very happy.

All in all, I thought the 4 movies were stellar, the first being the best story, but the fourth probably had the funniest moments. I am not dissapointed in the least at how they turned out, and wait eagerly for more futurama in the futurama (lame).
