one character sheet.

i'm kinda new to the whole RP thing, so feedback is always welcome!

Name: kryus

Military alias: Kry

Race: nysins (nih-sinnz) a race of short, slender humanoids characterised by their albino-pale skin and invariably crimson irises, along with a more evolutionally unusual trait - a long tail with a sharp blade of bone, capable of slicing bare flesh, on the end. the nysins are a proud warrior race with immensely strong bone structure and musculature for their frail build. the culture on kal'un (home planet, yes i'm making words up) is one of honour and decency, and as such the nysins do not mesh all too well with humans. a true nysins will never back down from a fight, though refusing an unfair fight is considered honourable. due to their unusual genetics, more akin to earth felines than humans, the nysins are immune to the effects of the Augcrea parasite. The nysins race, since being discovered by the UGF 350 years ago, have compensated for this immense weakness by ensuring all nysins are brought up with a sound knowlegde of all contemporary and effective historical weaponary. the average natural life span of a nysins is 180 earth years

Appearance: kryus is tall among the nysins, standing at 5'6", though still short among most other races. a member of the kal'un warrior sept since his initiation 20 years ago, krus is wears his UGF battle suit with more that a little disdain, prefering where possible to don kal'unian armours. nontheless, kryus has modified his armour to be considerably lighter and slighter than the original model, without sacrificing any major protection, and has sprayed the suit a deep crimson with black detailing, and a flowing black cloak worn over the top to match that of his cadre back home.

Personality: kryus is a quiet, stoic character, with a deeply cynical view of most situations. despite this exterior, he is an optimist at heart, and capable of inspiring courage from even the most cowardly of soldiers. Despite the nysins teachings on honour, kryus prefers to keep a sane distance from enemies and take them out with his rifle, though if the need be he is perfectly able to fight in medium or close ranges.

Weapons expertise: As a member of the Kal'un warrior sept, kryus is proficient with any weapon he gets his hands on. that being said, he tends to carry around his favourite combination of a Laser sniper rifle, with equipped night sight and suppressor, and a long-barreled plasma pistol which he calls 'Lucky'. Kryus also has the kal'un standard issue ceremonial power knife - a slightly more powerful version of the standard power knife - for CQC situations

God(Holy): Kryus primarily worships the goddess lullia, however as a young rebel he once studied the ways of crysind, and as such, is a skilled negotiator - a rare skill for a nysins, which invokes suspicion in more perceptive eyes.

Weaknesses: Aside from the standard nysins lack of magic, kryus's past dabblings with the occult god crysind have left him deeply paranoid, with a slight hint of mania in times of stress. also, his years of using solely sniper rifles and sidearms have left him inaccurate with those weapons he is out of practice with. in addition to this, unbeknownst to Kryus, his past occult dabblings have also left him open to possesion by any of the 'bad' gods, though this is not a window they use often.

Backstory: born and raised on the planet kal'un with a nysins family, nothing of not happened in kryus' life until his mid 20s, when he picked up a fascination with the occult. the effect of this dabbling have been duly noted above, and, as kryus was due for military service, the fascination stopped, and he entered the kal'un warrior sept. after 5 years fighting for the kal'un army against a plethora of local threats, the UGF, unaware to this day of Kryus's secret past, recruited him into their pan-galactic army. now, 15 years on, after several tours, Kryus still misses life in the kal'un warrior sept, but fights with honour for the UGF nonetheless

Are you more proficient with weapons, magic or are you balanced?: no magic

Magic specialty: no magic

Edit - few minor changes, also happy to be a squad leader

kal'un, the home planet of the nysins, is a mostly arid planet, with the fossilised remains of various ancient rainforests scattered about the 3 continents. the northern continent, kal'meehra, has the planets only inland bodies of sitting waters, and consequently holds most of the planets native population and wildlife, and the capital city of meehra'kalam. the eastern continent consists mostly of arid desert and a mostly-unexplored wasteland caused by the testing of many of the nysins past weaponry. the only remarkable feature on this continent is the UGF spaceport on its northernmost tip. finally, the small southern continent consists almost entirely of rolling sand dunes and fossilised rainforest, and is used as a large-scale training and staging ground for the kal'un warrior sept.
kal'un is the first planet from the sun in the kal galaxy, with two ice worlds, kal'del and kal'reth beyond it. there is a small colonial base of nysins on kal'del.

the nysins are open and accepting to all species, but frown severely upon any race which displays cowardice or dishonour.

the nysins have, and always have had, a loose caste system based around the warrior sept, the engineer sept, and the scientific sept. this system is headed by the regal cadre, which amounts to an absolute monarchy. this system is frowned upon by the UGF, but their not meddling with it was the sole term of the nysins joining the UGF, a deal which bolstered their military forces considerably.

1) Altion, the Que'lls home planet, is lush and it is nearly always raining on Altion in some part of the planet or another. The planet is covered in a variety of different climates, ranging from volcanic wastelands, icy tundras, and vast rain forests. The planet has one vast ocean that covers 2/3 of the planet, and in the center of the ocean is the large landmass where the Que'll live. The planet has a large variety of creatures that, despite being large for a human, they are nothing compared to the size a Que'lls wolf form can reach. The Que'll live together in clans that live in all regions of the planet, and each clan has fur or hair that reflects the land he was raised in; for example, if a Que'll was raised in the volcanic region, they would have dark black fur, or red fur and amber eyes.

2) The Que'll have never had contact with the outside world, until Cyrus was recruited to the U.F.G, so they have no racial disputes with any other races. They are however extremely competitive and proud, always trying to prove to other races that they are superior to them and are easily able to crush them.

3) The Que'll use a unique government system, where the strong prosper and the weak fade into memory. Their leader, or their King as they refer to him, is nearly 7 feet tall and easily has the aura of a ruler. Other Que'll fear him, and all respect his decisions even if they don't benefit the lower classes of the Que'll.
The Quell are organized into classes based on their fighting abilities and their birthrights. The lower Que'll are forced to live outside of the general pack area, and the higher ranking Que'll are allowed to sleep in the inner ring.
The Quell haven't actually joined the U.F.G yet either, but they have agreed to join if Cyrus is able to find a cure for their disease which has been slowly killing off their race.

1. Urakem is a extremely hostile planet, it is mostly swamp land, most of the wildlife is predatory. The planet is only contains reptiles, invertebrates and amphibians. ramegen only has one city on it, the city is large though being about 50km from one end to the other, though it is no longer in use and only is inhabited by the wildlife and once every 100 years the rasem. The wildlife also circulates around the rasem breeding cycle with the species reaching a peek level around the time the rasem eggs hatch but soon drop. Rasem also have a strong urge to return to their home planet if their is something wrong with i.e. The eco-system is being seriously damaged by something.

2. Most rasem treat other species with very little respect unless they proof their strength some how to them, but rasem will work for mercenary groups as it provides them an easy method to get into a fight. Pagos has no racial hatred.

3. Before they were discovered by the more advanced species they had an alpha male system were the strongest of the species would rule, know they have disbanded and due to their low numbers and most having low drive for academic achievement have no government.

Any Rasem terminals?
just making sure that a terminal is using one of the species to communicate through them if it is then the rasem would not have volunteered and would have put up a fight not to be used as one but if it is like a piece of technology then the rasem would not have made it but maybe another race would have.

ok seeing as I was right the first time the only way they would have a rasem terminal would be by fighting and defeating one as all rasem have a primal instinct to live and be the best they can for the mating cycle.

and the relation ship is pretty much the same as with any other race i.e. they think you are weak but put up with you if you don't give them a reason to fight you.
