I still would watch X-Play if I could. I still get the podcast, but I don't bother with their interviews or previews: just their reviews.

I also think they should replace Ninja Warrior with Viking Challenge. It's basically a more hard core Ninja Warrior, but still. And the Ninja Warrior usuals: Kazuhiko Akiyama, Makoto Nagano, Toshihiro Takeda, and Shingo Yamamoto also make appearances.

I remember I found G4TV on New Year's day in 2005. I was smiling with joy when i found a gameing channel for us gamers and geeks.

What does G4 even stand for? I've got Gadgets, Gameing, and can't think of the other things.

The Cops and Cheaters shows are just a waste of air time, but I do like Ninja Warrior and Unbeatable Banzuke. And Code Monkeys when I watch it. Really annoyed me when they kept on showing Star Trek also.

I personally like the new Xplay a little more than the others mainly so I don't have to watch all of the reviews of games that nobody cares about. Seriously, before they were reviewing games that were either Anime based or some other crap that noone even knew was going to be released.

Now they actually review games I care about (most of the time) and they have interviews, previews, and my personal favorite segment "Will Work For Games".

Of course, i'm a young gamer, so i probably don't understand your pains. But the feel of the show is a bit more bland than the original.

I loved G4 back in the day. Cheat! with Corey Rouse, Filter with Diane Mizota before the pop culture and holiday BS, Blister, Judgement Day (liked Electric Playground, too), Pulse (news), Portal, and Icons (pre celebrities). The merger ruined it. "Attack of the Show" and "X Play" were the only good bits.

Now it's not even gaming anymore! The Man Show, Happy Tree Friends, Cops, Star Trek, Cheaters?! It's become Spike TV's aborted little brother pending survival would've been mildly retarded and probably walked into the ocean looking for SpongeBob.

You know, they brought back the old episodes of X-play and a few other shows. Really shows how far they've fallen. In my opinion the station reached its peak in '05 after that it just started circling round the drain.
BTW the old episodes are weekdays before noon.

Yeah, it's called G4 Rewind. If some of those shows get good ratings they'll consider new episodes of them. I personally hope for new episodes of Arena, Game Makers/Icons, and G4tv.com.

Agreed, X-play is still by far their best show and Attack of the Show! is fine. But pretty much everything else is crap.

X Play ahs sold out rayaloy, their reviews are shorter, they lack humor, adn they review one or two games at most a show. It used to be 4 or five! Hell, I even miss the Sammy Sosa and Jason Giambi jokes.

Reviews on the Run and Lab with Leo are good (Second one is canceled though GRR!) maybe thats just Tech TV Canada though.

i watch attack of the show and x play still but i liked the old xplay format better. In a way though X play is just AOTS for games now.

I Like AOTS and X-play, although sometimes I feel like all they do is advertise games than review them. Cheat! is kinda lame since most of the stuff can be learned by playing the game for a few hours. And seriously, what's with all the episodes of cops?
