Gag weapons/characters

How do you feel about them? A hilarious diversion or pointless waste? Do you have a favorite? Any ideas for some you'd like to see?

Personally, Id love to see a gag sword in Skyrim. Specifically, the cardboard wrapping paper tube. Who cares if it'd be out of place, I'd love it.

there is technically a gag weapon in skyrim already. it's called the notched pickaxe.
it's kind of a "we're sorry" item from bethesda about them sueing notch over using the word "scrolls"

Sometimes they're kinda fun for 10 seconds, then get frustrating. When I first played Dead Rising 2, I was upset that all I could find to punch zombies was the foam finger.

Remember, this was when I first started. Later on, I looked and laughed at the stupidity.

Depends on the game.

Something like holy mackerel in TF2 fits perfectly with the atmosphere, but something like the Cole football player outfit in Gears 3 just looks stupid to me.

Well, at least the fish is the same as the standard bat, which doesn't mean it useless, but isn't extra powerful.

Most "joke characters" are "shit characters."

Take for example, Piku from Melee. The LIGHTEST character in the game's only difference from Pikachu is that his attacks DAMAGE HIMSELF.

i remember seeing a bubble gun in just cause 2. that was funny. but my all time favorite gag is how people in wow buy tuxedos and stuff, despite not really helping them in-game for anything

And I adore it so! Personally I feel they should be tucked away in deep dark caves that are a pain to find. Once found they should be game breaking.

Gag weapons good. Some should be poo so if you do get kills it means you are uber good. Some should be ridiculously powerful in an odd manner.

Gag weapons should be OP, its just how they roll imo.

And you should need to do something that most people wouldn't do because its stupid + challenging (i.e. get to a secret spot or something)

And every game should have a gag weapon.


As for gag characters, mezzles, they're not so fantastic
