Is anyone else not promoting their characters when they get to the level cap? I just have no desire to do it. I might do it when I replay the main game, but I don't see the advantage of starting over from scratch now. And that's especially true since I've found a ton of respec cards so I'm not tied down to a build if I find I'm not happy with it.

When you do promote a character, do all the characters from that class restart as well?

yeah, all the characters in that class get reset. You keep all your customization options, but they're reset to default. Kind of annoying if you had a theme going and can't remember what goes where.

They ARE worth about 75 "points" in the War Assets, so there's that.

Respec and both Krogan classes are Rares, so if you want them, you're going to want to get Spectre packs

Also what are in the packs anyways, I haven't been able to check yet.

well, you also get 10 to your N7 level. So if THAT'S a big deal to you, there you go.

Human Vanguard and Human Soldier are my classes. I play on PC, same name as here.


I really like the Soldier Battlefield 3 as well, as he gets carnage instead of that girly concussion shot, but eh, does he look ridiculous or what.

I hate the fact that there is so much random content. I mean I got a damn pistol in commendation pack. What use is the pistol for me? I don't use pistols!

Then there's the fact that I got Drell Vanguard / Asari Vanguard like 5 times now, AFTER I'VE MAXED VANGUARD. Damn you Bioware/EA.

Also, I wanted to buy Bioware points but EA ate a dollar and said no.

As for the Commendation pack, you get it if you were in a Silver Match against Reapers and at least one person on your team was extracted. In that one you get one of the N7 weapons from the collectors edition and some medi-gel/survival packs/rockets/thermal clips.

Just one character. You hit the "Y" button when you're on the Power screen if you're on the Xbox when you have one.

I was cautious about the multiplayer because I was a firm believer that Mass Effect 3 should have only been a single player game. I loved the single player (the ending didn't detract from my enjoyment, as I am blaming EA for the ending), and the multiplayer is very addictive.

I use my Sentinel Human Male, he's at Level 17 at the moment, but I also have a Level 11 Adept Drell, and My Level 9 Engineer Human Female is coming along nicely.

Sentinel - Assault Rifle and Sniper
Adept - Sniper and Pistol
Engineer - Assault Rifle and Shotgun

I don't like the character unlock system. It would have been a lot better if you got the new characters as you level up that class, instead of the lucky dip which are the Packs you have to buy. I do not want a Quarian Infiltrator, I want a Turian Sentinel, dammit!

Right so my two friends both got a Quarian Infiltrator. Abuse of Sabotage on Geth let us cruise through Gold easier than we suspected. Thoughts?

I played as a Turian Sentinel with an assault rifle and shotgun as rear flank for the match btw.
